I’m feeling nostalgic I saw it driving around today.

 

Yeah. Right where I am that line of storms broke and went just north and just south. Other than the heat (which is obviously not comparable right now to AZ etc) its been decent. We just ended a string of unseasonably mild days, which was a treat. Could actually sit on the porch and relax.

 

@Kwikvette Does your GX have Torsen LSD? I see the new GX550 has it. I didn't know that Toyota owns Torsen.

 

Well that hurt my wallet but it had to be done. The 80 series center diff lock actuator (4WD actuator) is discontinued so I ordered a brand new actuator for a 100 series since physically the transfer case is the same and now I have to find a wiring pigtail for it. @CS_AR has your old 100 gone to the wreckers yet, would you be able to take a pic of the CDL actuator pigtail/see if the connector has a part number?

 

Yep. If I can reach it I will. I can ask on UJZ100 also. the LC brain trust is in there.

 

Thanks! If it is destined for the wreckers still I'd be happy to pay if you'd cut it off with as much slack as you can spare and send it my way, saves me the trouble of finding pins for a new connector shell

 

I'm moving the LX 3:1 reduction transfer case to the LC100. So I need to disconnect stuff. Is this the plug that is on top of the transfer case?

 

Yup plugs into the motor right on top, 5-pin connector that looks like a MAF connector (but apparently isn't one)


Can see the harness someone else made to adapt, but they wouldn't divulge the part number of the connector. The OEM pigtail may have a little rubber breather hose bundled in with it too.

 

Do you ever talk to Kurt Williams at Cruiser Outfitters?

 

Yeah, he confirmed the 100 series actuator works, it's what he sells on his ready to install cases. He makes a conversion harness but only if you buy a whole case from him... which is a bit outside my price range haha

Ha, my plan is way less elaborate. He flew into the bathroom I closed the door and threw a towel on it. I would hate to kill it they eat bugs and spiders. I took him outside and he flew away.
