Olympus? Skyline? East? West? Highland? Probably not Judge... LOL Brighton? Hillcrest? Cottonwood?

My wife and I graduated in the same class and didn't know each other. We met 5/6 years later. We knew a few of the same people, and think we went to one party that a mutual friend had, and I think I remember seeing her there, but I doubt we said more than two words. Not sure if I would have wanted to meet her back then. I might have scared her off.

My brother-in-law has had one of those toll pass IDs on his daily driver (in OKC) for years. Every month he would get several (automated?) notices about how he had been caught driving on a toll road and failed to pay. Which would always cause a PITA to straighten out - and it just never seemed to end no matter how well he mounted his ID sticker, cleaned it or whatever. According to the toll authority this was all his fault. Frustrating and seemed to be never ending. His neighbor - a state employee - advised him to put a (polarized?) cover on his plate to obscure the photographic recognition. Problem solved!!!!

I never could understand why - if the system could effectively record plates - and then get his address right - why couldn't it check for a pass?

Steve: In Maryland it is illegal to have any cover over the back plate. You can have a trim ring but not a cover. I have the EZ Pass registered to 3 vehicles and just move it to the vehicle that will be going on a toll road.

BTW Travlr, how are the trails around your neck of the woods? Dusty or muddy? We are heading down in a couple of weeks for our annual Paiute ATV ride from Marysvale back to Salina to Circleville and back to Marysvale. It’s about 290 total miles.

I've been laid low by a bout of plantar fasciitis for the last couple of months, so haven't been hiking. But we might be going camping up Gooseberry tomorrow so I'll at least get out far enough to see how wet it is. I'll let you know.

I doubt you'll see much to worry about, but there has been enough rain to puddle the low spots. May be a few mud holes, so I wouldn't travel alone and I'd want a winch.

Thanks. We have 6 50” machines and 12 people. In years past we’ve had a couple of flat tires and choked air intakes. Last year we had no machine issues. 3 of us got stung by yellow jackets blowing into our shirts. I hate those suckers.

Sounds like fun... I'd rather have cool temps and a little mud than hot and dusty. Some beautiful country on the Piute.

Lake this morning, enjoying the outdoors. Have a great evening. We're in for a little rain.

Interesting talk about reunions. I missed the 40th traveling all week and didn't want to go another 5hrs. Besides they wanted to make it a pub crawl. One of the bars was supposed to be owned by Josh Duhamel . At the 30th a gal had been bragging she got to see him naked quite a few times. She had a few women going wow, lucky. Until one of the people at another table asked if she was still doing daycare. Changed his diaper many times. Lol, but 630 people in my class. Seems I keep in touch with a few of them yet. One is my dentist. Another is a funeral director. We go out for a beverage once in awhile. I think we've lost about a hundred. Quite a few have moved from the town like me. Might do the 50th, Lord willing.

    Evening all:

We just had another drowning at the local lake in a non swimming area, also saw where as of today they closed the swimming area, AGAIN, due to high bacteria count, that is happening all too often.

Not sure how much you enjoy a sunset but here's a few with a couple different filters.

Not good on the drowning. There was one around here 2 weeks ago a 13 year old had been skiing and took her life vest off to climb in the boat easier slipped on the ladder and was recovered 3hrs later. No real understanding why.

Well my plans for the fall just changed……second total knee replacement on the 23rd.

it’s something that got put off during Covid. I knew it was going to happen, but not so soon. Time to get my stuff done.

Man, that sucks, so easy to wear a flotation device. One of my worst fears drowning or burning …..

Taking the son's F150. My nephew dropped off his golf clubs yesterday and we have a few larger toys for my niece's daughter, she is just over a year old. Filled up his truck with gas when he got home from work yesterday. Truck has a 38-gal gas tank, and it took 27 gallons of a little over $98.00. Like the pics!

    Did not pick mine either.

Good morning! Foot doc called yesterday, and I was able to secure a 10:15 appointment for a shot. Getting ready for a lot of walking. I am sure that a tour of the Biltmore will be a lot of walking. Going to try and fit in a haircut today, probably between batches of brownies I am making. Our goal today is to have everything ready to pack and staged to go in the son's truck tomorrow morning. For now, it is off to the gym. Fun day ahead.
