Sometimes yes. Though I've made a lot of lifelong friends in the FB community and a lot came from Mud. I've met a lot of people from both environments in person. Once you meet in person, the whole dynamic changes. I talk to a lot of vendors especially when organizing our annual Toyota Trucks event. I buy products from a lot of vendors. I know it's often an uphill battle to get any support for an event here in AR. Though it is turning into a big deal that attracts people from surrounding states.
I recognize patterns in vendor support depending on the state. CA, AZ, VA, TX, and KS are helpful. GA, CO, UT, ID, and MO are not.

    upload_2023-8-7_6-48-40.png

Next year the event will double in size again. Soon we will have enough critical mass that we can't be ignored.

For some reason I thought this was the PC thread; I commented on someone else's NZXT about lack of airflow as I have the same case.

    It's a 510.

Bought it and left it boxed for 3 months; didn't realize I bought the non-mesh front so two things are going on -

    1. The two fans in front of the radiator don't pull in enough air to create the positive pressure needed for the 1 x 120mm top exhaust fan and 1 x 120mm rear exhaust fan

    2. The case is really narrow and the side panel is practically up against my RTX3080 which exhausts towards the side and rear; the side is blocked for the most part

Ideally I should relocate everything into a new case but it only throttles down with Diablo 4

I can play Microsoft Flight Simulator (was doing so yesterday) and it isn't as much of a GPU hog so it plays well

Have you tried taking off the front panel and using the system? If that works then for sure a different case could fix your issue. NZXT's are notorious for bad airflow. Look into Corsair if you decide to go that route.

Yeah, nice to know it is a regular part not a one off deal just found on LCs. I think I might actually have one in my collection of shit from when I converted the corolla to an external igniter.

Bottom line, I wouldn't have bought this case.

Just looking at it, it's a bad design in terms of airflow for heavy PC use. Build quality is great though as is cable management but again horrible if you're going to run a GPU and push it.

It's not a priority to do so but I would buy a Fractal Design case again.

The NZXT pulls air from the front/side in the form of a slot, and the front is all one piece with the remainder of the case; cannot be removed without permanent alteration.

@Ozark_RegCab Bentonville. Where the F-150 and Ferarri converge. I feel sorry for all parties involved.

Here's a pic when I was assembling it; I already had it in my possession and it was long past the return date so I used it anyway.

    20221102_132250.jpg

The only 2 exhaust fan options; I *may* add 2 more fans on the inside face of the radiator just to help push air towards the rear but would need to tweak fan speed/curves to not create too much positive pressure

Fractals are fanstastic! However, you haven't answered any of my questions directly. Which model GPU is it? And have you tried pulling the front panel? Very easy way to see the extent of its restriction. I've built a machine around the 510 and though it was a pretty case, was easily the worst for airflow. I'm sure you're spot on but verifying with the front panel will ensure you're not wasting any money. Re-pasting is another option.

EDIT: Ah, didn't see your followup post.

Sorry, replied after mainly because there's no real good way about it unless I swap to a different case.

My last 3 or so builds were on a Fractal Design case; stuck to them after having used Thermaltake for years before that.

Whatcha running yourself? I always love PC talk.

Theo will laugh at the mirror, still thinking it's another baby.

So yeah for sure can't wait to see how they react when they meet.

Does Olivia randomly just stare at the dogs when they're nearby?

I'll catch Theo just following the dogs with his eyes when they walk around back and forth.

I run a 5900X with a 4090 FE. I'm an SRE at Nvidia so this stuff is my bread and butter :) I run a restrictive case as well (Phanteks Evolv X) but have kept the CPU under control via an NZXT Kraken Z73. GPU is so overbuilt I rarely go above 60C with the FE card.

Man that sounds nice; what games you playing anyway to need a 4090?

Take it you're running them at 4k as well? 2k gaming only here.

Kraken does well to keep my CPU cool as well; I can say that no one really makes a bad AIO, I mean unless you're talking no-name brand.

She loves watching the dogs and the cats. Her tracking is getting really good, even when it's something outside of a window.
She laughes at random things and when you tickle her neck. She has gotten really grabbie also.

I run the Alienware OLED Ultrawide 3440x1440. Believe it or not, I also have a 7900XTX and that thing is killer. I almost prefer it to my 4090. I play a lot of the recently released AAA games. Hogwarts Legacy being the latest. The 7900XTX runs it better without DLSS, though DLSS3 is quite something. 230+ FPS at my resolution. I've yet to try Cyberpunk mainly becuase the setting doesn't seem interesting to me.

    DUDE!

He is so freaking good at just grabbing shit at the most inconvenient of moments

I thought he was just forming this "habit" and suddenly memes of 4 month old babies and their 'grab' stage come up; didn't realize it was a thing at that age but yep right on que

Grabs the neck of my shirt, grabs my arm from underneath (if his arm is behind me), my beard (chopped a lot of it off as shown in my pic) and whatever else is in front of him
