That's why I choose to have them delivered to the house. I'm sure it's well over 200# in the shipping frame. The less manhandling I have to do the better!

I couldn't do that option if I wanted to. You cannot get a freight truck or box truck in my driveway, either ends. Main driveway has a low hanging tree. The other entrance from the lane has my power wires going to the house that hang too low. It was quite the ordeal when I got my fridge delivered.

I really need to trim that tree

Should have brought my enclosed trailer with a ramp and assembled it in the trailer like I did with my stump grinder. It took 3 guys to get it in the truck at Home Depot. My wife and I slid it down a dirtbike ramp to get it out of the truck and used a hand cart to get it in the shop. :muscleflexing:

Well, they can get down my driveway, but the turn at the creek can be a little tight if the truck is too big. If that happens I can go meet them a long the driveway.

I plan to use the tractor with the pallet forks to offload it and take it right into the barn. There should be very little :muscleflexing: needed.

the sharpener is under the cap on the top where it says Berkel. didnt see how it really works but it just lifts up out of there & then guessing figure out the orientation?

now about that mess of levers/wheels underneath? are those for the auto slice? & if so whats the difference between the 2? if you move the side lever towards you it goes into one of them & if you move it away it goes into the other one.

    spill the tea!

That looks normal underneath for an antique. As for the auto the leaver is set it and forget it turn on and voil'a. On/Off auto. What are you using it for food? If so clean very good under and on top, every time used and use a bleach water sanitizer.
THERE IS NO SAFETY FOR A MEAT SLICER!!!! That being said when we were taught to clean one lay a towel over the blade for safety. I can't remember ever using a Berkel just Hobart's.
    If it works great.

Berkel is very much in business.
Machines like this are generally built to be completely serviceable and rebuildable.

There should be a metal tag riveted to the machine chassis with the model number, you can get the manual, do a full service and the machine should be good for a long time.

    Look here:

^^^ thanks! so whats the difference between those 2 notches?

if i put it in that front notch i can move the whole assembly.

if i put it in the back one? it drops into the lock & sets solid.

is it like a forward/reverse? or is it a lock out feature?

only thign i see wrong is a cracked switch (ordered a new one)
