    @Camerasandcoffee @rubbersidedown

I was hoping to leave thursday but I’ll be watching paint dry. I finished painting the skidplates (good lord is that a lot of prime and paint!). Tomorrow I have to strip and hopefully paint the sliders. Then get everything installed. I didn't even test fit the skid-plates, so I guess that will be like a box of chocolates when I go to install them lol.

    Good times!

I should be good to go to convoy up with you guys friday.

But how will people know I wheel if I cant show off gouges in my sliders :D

Besides, motivation for me is something I need to harness when it comes.

And no way I’m installing those skid plates twice in one year lol.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
Skids and rockers finally installed. No suspension though, can't play with the huge rocks. :( Ready for Tigerton tho!

Why would having stock susnsion hold you back from the big rocks? That's the internet's influence on making you think you need big expensive suspension. Does it help, yes. Needed for Tigerton, no

@rockindoc75 Lockers and gears are always the correct answer :)

I agree….does it help? Yes it does.

Is it needed? …… I’m sorry, I don’t understand the question.

    :anonymous:

Jk, you’ll be fine. Besides, how else will you test out the skids and sliders?

@rockindoc75 last time I was at tigerton I hung out with a group of modded jeeps. This dude in this little Chevy did almost every line they did. No expensive suspension no lockers, just send it. 20230808_191426.jpg

Can't see it but in this picture he's pulling out a jeep stuck in the mud lol

You'd be surprised at what your truck will do with stock suspension!

Of course, none of us will be going for broke and looking to cause damage. We got you and you got this.

Thanks fellas! Lucky I found this group. Otherwise, I would have a mall crawler with just doodads, doohickeys, and patches in the cab. InShot_20230726_065334742.jpg

If all goes according to plan, I should have a new bumper prepped, painted, and mounted too.

I should be up for a convoy...but please, not before 7:00am. This face needs its beauty sleep!

Catching up after crawling under my truck for a while tonight. I got my new DD amber chase light install with the new Auxbeam switch kit completed and it looks great! Thanks again to @Camerasandcoffee for letting me bug him with the electrical questions. I replaced a few stereo head units in previous vehicles with easy Crutchfield kits, and that was the extent of my wiring experience. I'm learning a lot.

Looking forward to the convoy Friday morning. Just looked at the Tigerton forecast... Yikes. I also have a 10x10 canopy to add to the shanty town for sitting out the storm if needed. I'm thinking a dehydrated meal for Friday night and grilling Saturday night for me. As I said previously, I'll be roasting hatch peppers and I'm going to see about bringing sliders, buns, pepper jack cheese and homemade ranch dressing. Not planning to serve all, but will make some extra sliders to share. I'm picking up the peppers tomorrow when they officially go on sale, but hafta say I was at our Grafton store this morning and got a peak and they look pretty amazing. (nudge, nudge, wink wink @wi_taco )
