Hey all, I know just enough to get me in trouble. I’m looking at some SCS Stealth 6 wheels. I noticed the offset is -10mm. My research suggests it’s about 1.5” wider than stock. Should I have any concern about going with this negative offset?

I’m also not going crazy with other mods either fwiw. Plan on sticking with 32’s and will have a 1” level via AAL and Bilstein 5100’s.

10mm is nothing. You're not going to notice it.

You’ll notice it, your truck is going to look awesome! You’ll have a bit of tire poke out your wheelwells. Random people will compliment you as well on your SCS wheels.

Lol I’m more concerned with reliability/durability. I know it’ll look sick!

IMG_1887.jpg IMG_1889.jpg IMG_1950.jpg I have -10mm offset SCS F5’s. I think they are just about perfect. I am over having the wheels stick out just to throw crap all up the sides of my vehicle. I have the -25mm 16’s on my 3rd gen 4Runner.

Here's a better angle 8.5 in wide rim and these 275s are really really close to the 285 size in same tire(was compared side by side) 265s will be a bit narrower and 285 a hair more poke 20230809_093158.jpg 20230809_093141.jpg

I'm super happy with the look and now a huge fan of the 275/70 tire size. We'll see once i hit some wet trails and how much mud it kicks up the sides over the old 265s on T4r pro wheels. Sliders are the next item and that will help keep the mud down a bit too

Sorry to hijack my thread back, but is there any concern about excessive (or just minor) wear and tear due to the wheels being 1.5” wider than stock?

of course the dynamics will change. for the sake of saving us from this thread becoming a 1,000 page argument just take it as a minor wear and tear answer.

OEM offset is +30mm, so these being -10mm will stick out 40mm over stock. The tire will swing on a 40mm larger arc when steered, so there may be rubbing with 32" tires. @czukie may need to remove the mudflaps and trim some fender liner plastic.

My truck currently has TRD Pro Sema wheels (+4mm offset) with 32’s and there is no rubbing. As long as rubbing is on plastic though, I’m not overly concerned.
