Mishimoto on my 2nd gen and pretty please with craftsmanship

 

nice from what I recall the fit and finish was better than the CSF I had. I have only used CSF but mounts came bent, fitment is shit but it works.

 

Mishimoto makes quality stuff! Ran their products in three vehicles now. Oil cooler and electric radiator fan on my M3. Plus you get a nice penguin mascot to hang from your mirror!

 

Mishimoto is re-brand... I'm pretty sure. So if you buy them. Shop around.

 

Do you know who they rebrand from? I thought they made their own radiators but never ran any.

Haven't a clue. You'd have to compare where it's made. I ordered a mishimoto oil cooler and the it happened to be the same as all the other eBay ones but costed twice. Ended up returning it for USA made coolers. In comparison, my CSF was made in Indonesia. I'm not sure if all but seem like Koyorad has factories in Indonesia as well.

Anyone put the external fuel filter for the URD fuel pump upgrade under the hood with the 4.0? I don't have much real estate under the truck next to the gas tank (4Runner with Atlas transfer case) and it would be much more convenient and out of the way if it could be mounted under the hood. I took a quick look at where the fuel lines connect to the motor and it looks like they are hard lines and use some weird fittings, so IDK if it would work without chopping shit up.

 

Unsure about the engine but some other guys welded a mount and put an FST filter on the edge of the frame. I picked one up and was considering the same.
