Hi all really need some help here,

    I purchased a brand new 2023 Tacoma on June 28, 2023.

Traded in my 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport Manual.

I swapped my K&N cold air intake, tonneau cover and aftermarket TRD pro grill with 4 LED lights.
--The Lights are connected to the fuse box with an add a fuse along with the ground attached to the truck under the bolt on the left side of vehicle.

I am now having electrical issues a month later the reinstallation of TRD grill and lights.
Truck started with 25km and now has 5000K (Drive a lot for work)

Electrical issues are unable to be diagnosed by dealer after a preliminary inspection.
    --Issues include:
    1. First day I noticed (August 6th.), in the morning coming out to my truck, open the door and the ventilation system has been running all night, light is still on for the air on the center panel.
--Played a round of golf. Came out to the truck and it was off back to normal. park the truck at home that night
    2. Second day, (August 7th) come out in the morning, my brake lights are on, headlights on and the ventilation system is once again on with display still on.

Dealer cannot guarantee that the addition of the add a fuse did not send a back signal and mess up the computer system. This means they could stick me with the bill and this wouldn't be under warranty.

On their preliminary inspection the truck thinks the key is still in the ignition when there is no key. They also removed the steering panel and there are no wires that have been manipulated.

I currently am absolutely pissed off that a brand new truck is having electrical issues. My 2018 had the exact same set up for over 2 years and I never experienced any issues.

If any of you have any guidance or resolutions for me it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks...

How about undoing your mods and seeing if the truck goes back to normal? Seems premature to blame the truck yet.

what fuse did the add a fuse connect to?

If they can’t “guarantee” that the add-a-fuse caused the problem.
Then they need to fix the problem.

BTW, what fuse did you tap?
