Should, up by cab, few inches from wheelwells. Look at picture above Tony382 factory drain holes. Never seen one without them.

My truck was built early, bought February 2016. I don’t have them. Must have been a design change to add? How does water get in the channel to need to be drained through these drain tubes? The weatherstripping seal along the sides looks like it should not allow water in the track?

It's a safety measure. Driving rain/ car washes. Also alot of guys drill hole 3"-4" down from top of rail in front of bed, so tunes don't get pinched. Loading stuff on floor of bed. Pictures of that on tonneau cover thread.

Does anyone have an aftermarket cover that fits the trail edition, with the boxes still in the cab? Every site I've searched says "Excludes the trail edition".

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    Thank you very much

Check the lomax thread in that section. I thought recently someone said it worked. If that's the case pm truckalter, he's a vendor and will beat anyone's price on here. I was going with him but the lomax won't work with my bed stiffeners so I got the leer 650. The leer might work with the boxes as it just attached to the rail. Leer is already replacing mine as it came with some serious creases where the panels fold. Both are good looking covers and don't require any drain holes drilled. Hope that helps. Post 1198.

Nothing yet to complain about with my 2020 oem tacoma tonneau cover. It seals well, and still looks like new. Best part, its built sturdy enough to hold a 60 lb concrete bag on top of it.
