New bumper is here!

 

Wish I could make another trip up this weekend and help ya choppy chop.. Happy install!

 

Not happening this weekend. Still waiting on some things to show up. But will be having a mod weekend.
Need to install
-1" body lift
- new gas tank and remove old
-Weld this one together and design a swing out.
-Order the cab vents too.

 

Finally got the truck out to get dirty (and cool off) after the replacement tent came in. Had to take a social-media-worthy photo or it didn't happen.



Anyone out in attempts of checking the meteor shower this weekend?

Perseids - will be making a half hearted attempt. When the kiddos were little, it was full blown attempt. We'd be sure to be camping on the Rim or in ColoRADo someplace dispersed. We made a number of runs to north of Carefree Hwy in the winter to watch the ISS fly over. Hot chocolate, blankets in the back of the truck, the works. So much fun. Growing up, my dad would always take my sister and I out. Here, the Leonids were more of the focus since it was cool and a quick drive.

 

I am headed out near Happy Jack for the weekend to cap and try. You can join us if you want to travel out of the heat.

 

I'll be up in Flagstaff starting tonight, but I don't know enough about meteors to know if I will be able to see them.

 

We were thinking about going to happy Jack this weekend.

 

We're actually looking into different spots now that the rim is looking pretty stormy all weekend.

Yeah I was looking at the weather a bit ago. We are mainly going just to get out the meteor shower was just a bonus.

Cool. Was going to go to the cabin but the Brady fire they closed the area off. We were there Sunday and could see flames from our cabin.

 

And maybe smokey too currently a fire burning just west of Washington Park

 

thats where i live,,, its fine, fire is all but out and its much smaller than whats been reported, heck we never even got a ready status.

big thanks go out to the fire crews jumping on it quick and getting it handled,,, now, they know who started the fire, lets see if they get fined.

 

That's where my cabin is. Did they catch the guy who did it? And how did he start it?

Fire started at Bray Ranch, I don't know how yet but rumor has it an arrest was made.

We'll see.

 

That's good to hear we're going to be up in strawberry this weekend. The girlfriend was worried about being able to get her 20 mile training run in.
