Lol…seen that guy last year. He said it doesn’t even have body mounts lol. Not that he took them off, they rusted off!

It *has* been a fun little group hasn’t it? I feel the same as you. Yeah, these vehicles are capable of way more stock than most drivers are. And in all seriousness, every big mod you do is capable of getting it closer to perfection… but there’s a tipping point. On the other side of that tipping point is regret. :D. I’m slowly working my way up lol.

Sliders and armor are probably the best mod to get to keep your truck from looking like a farm vehicle after the first trip out. Suspension with a small lift is also good, but nothing that you need to jump into with any hurry. I got mine mostly for the looks. But because I took my time researching, I ended up with a really great ride on and off-road.

I’m glad you’re coming. Tigerton has a bit of everything for everyone, and usually plenty of bypasses where needed. What’s also nice is that there aren’t that many branches overhanging everything, so pinstripe potential is generally minimal. The group is pretty big, so we can easily split off into smaller groups with drivers that are interested in the same level of trails.

Sweet. Hopefully see you friday morning…not too early lol

Aww man, did your transfer case spit out parts too?

I should arrive 3:30-ish. Hockey 1st thing in the morning, take doggos' to the kennel, then make an appearance at the funeral home on the way out if town. No worries. Long time neighbor of my Dads' passed.

Didn't notice initially, but this weekend could be a good time to watch the annual Perseid meteor shower. New moon is on the 16th so it should be mostly visible assuming we don't get blocked by cloud cover, though we may have to walk out to that field nearby camp to get away from tree cover.

    https://www.space.com/32868-perseid-meteor-shower-guide.html

Ninja edit: there was some talk about headlamps recently, this is the exact reason to get one that has a red LED option to preserve night vision. It makes a huge difference.

This sounds cool! Maybe Friday or Saturday night we could take a walk and check it out.

Agreed; It's nice to have a red light option on a headlamp. Another feature that Black diamond headlamps generally have.

Friday night might not work, what with the storms and stuff. And we’ll probably be too inebriated to focus at that distance.
Mostly clear skies on Saturday night

Initially we'll start there. If there ends up being other traffic on that channel we'll switch to channel TBD...

That's a very good question considering that Tigerton can get pretty busy. I think we did 15 and 17 last time when we split up into smaller groups. Might be good to have a defined channel for Friday so people arriving can meet up on the trails.

Yea that should work. 41 northbound near the Zoo interchange is always a bear during weekday mornings, so we may plan an alternative route.
