I was up there when it started. My wife's 4Runner broke and we were stuck. Then the fire happened so then I got real nervous. PXL_20230807_023752863.MP.jpg

Unless cops are chasing my I'm not running for anything.

Not like I could run more than 50ft without getting winded.

    oh wow, this actually happened?

I'm assuming you are talking about the long bolt, through the frame/shock tower itself.

Did you swap the orientation from factory? i.e. so the bolt is sloped downwards?

I have mine torque striped, but I just checked them again.

She signed up for basically a marathon distance that's centered there on the rim, part of the mogollon monster race. This is one of her last big distance training runs before tapering off. I poke around near her course and stay available for support. Just a mobile aid station really.

Every couple of months she starts hinting at me going out with her. Fuck that shit though...
I did buy a mountain bike just before the valley turned into an air fryer. So that'll get used a bunch once it's a little more reasonable temperature wise. I already sweat gallons building powerlines, don't need to be doing that after work too lol.

Yup it happened. lucky we were turning slow. 2 min earlier and we'd be screwed as we were doing 50 in the dirt road.

We didn't flip them during the install. Didn't think it would work it's way up of it came loose. It's thread locked like crazy now.

Speaking of bolts coming loose, I’ve had two of my friends have a caliper bolt back out and their caliper rotated back into their wheel, gouging the shit out of it. I’m all about torque specs but that’s one bolt I always blue loctite as well. Eff that.

Still don't know why I workout in the 10x20 shed every day after I clock out at 3. :bananadead:

I will say, it's made this Summer more bearable than most though.
