Talk about your love of cops and how helpful insurance companies are… you’re out. I got picked one time and pitched a fit (rightfully so, I just had surgery)… they threw me out. Most juries are about crime or suing someone (covered by insurance), so being biased will lead to a swift exit.

 

Personally, I’d say sketch AF.

Not open @ 10AM on a Thursday, nothing identifies them as inside. The two businesses with window space are Strata Skin and Slo Fashion (thus the Snail). Side of the building has New Orleans things painted on it by street artists. I just don’t really see this as a legit growing business. Maybe a reseller? This particular area is mostly hipsters and college kids, so I wouldn’t understand the product/location choice. Much better (and cheaper) locations for an emerging fish/sporting clothier.
We have a local fishing shop just down from my house. I’ll ask them about it - they would stock a local co, as I’m sure that would be the FIRST place they’d want to outlet. I can also ask for a reco.

I actually got picked for grand jury duty once.. I was the last person picked
I tried to get out of it but failed miserably

It wasn't too bad - one morning once a month, we would hear a bunch of cases and decide if they could go forward or not; it was an interesting educational experience as was interacting with my random fellow citizens.

 

Me too ... same experience.
What was funny was my boss at the time. Told her I got notice for jury duty, she said "just go, no defense attorney is gonna let you sit on a jury, you'll be eliminated the first day."
Came back the next day, told her I was selected for grand jury, two days every other week for 3 months (up here). She responded, "crap, you're a prosecutor's ideal candidate, I never thought about that." Courthouse is 5 mins from our house, versus the 50 min commute to base. Overall it was a good experience.
