I used thread locker last couple of times I got the belts off. The following time for removal of the studs was a real PITA. Like in my garage cursing/bloody knuckles. But my belts have never ripped off during a trip, so might be worth the trouble. Just make sure to clean them up nicely next time they come off (if that ever happens).

I was going to ask about lengths, but ended up finding them in other threads. Fox TRD Pro suspension has been installed to the 2nd gen. Just need an alignment now.

So both studs came loose or just one?

Actually - I could make a one-off set of these for you, but they'd be more expensive doing it that way - probably around $220 USD

Gotcha. You’ll like it. I added a 1/2” top plate to the coil overs with longer studs. It gave it a little extra and came out perfect

I actually had a 1/2” on the driver and 1/4” on the driver with the 2nd gen Baja suspension. I pre-planned everything for the swap to the Fox except for longer too hat bolts so I crossed my fingers and just installed the 1/4” on the driver side and nothing on the passenger. Even with less spacers I ended up with a 1/2” lift on the front from the Baja setup!

You shouldn’t have to stagger the spacers. Toyota takes that into account. That’s what I loved about that suspension aside from the great feel. It’s made specifically for our trucks.

Yes both the lower one and upper lower one being the worst case

Shouldn’t, but with a full tank and the 1/4” spacer on the driver side, I’m sitting lower (ground to fender):
    Driver 36.75”
    Passenger 37.25”

I’ll see how even it is with an almost empty tank and make a decision if I remove the spacer on the driver side.

Does anyone else on here with the studs installed without loctite have this issue?

What specific thread lock would you recommend when installing?

I think both blue and red should be fine. I always use red for everything, they say it's semi-permanent but I've never found it to be all that permanent.

Got my studs in the mail, fixing to install these. Did anybody else’s show up a bit short? Both measured 5-1/8” (Advertised as 5-1/4”). Haven’t had a chance to install these back yet.

I think they’ll be fine, but curious if anybody sees any potential issues.

Just measured one of mine and it was 5 1/16"

Slightly shorter is correct. Based on a field fit.

Installed mine today. Old studs were loose in the block. The lower one was barely hand tight. This might be a factor of the stock studs snapping off. Wobbling while under load, threads exposed, would accelerate the weakening process.

    New ones in without issue.

I haven’t. I plan on doing so in the spring; I believe my coupler is just starting to chatter, so I’m going to do them at the same time. Probably a smaller pulley will go on then too.

Off topic, but how long does a coupler last. I put my TRD on in June of 2021; I have under 4K on it, but I purchased the supercharger right before they were discontinued, it sat untouched for years. I’d expect mileage to be the main factor for it to wear out, but is it possible age is a factor?

Not sure on the coupler life. I put the solid one in, it seems to me that should last a really long time. But the stock ones seem to go often, others might comment on their experiences.
