    Nice!
Man if I didn’t just chop up my grille to fit the honeycomb insert I’d probably buy it. I wish I had seen this first. Definitely keeping this in my back pocket though.
Did you try to fit the grille as is before splitting up you OEM one?
Also how did you re attaché the OEM trim to this one?

After reading through this thread I decided I didnt want to deal with the weatherstrip so I just stuck with the OEM. I also didn't want to death with painting it to colormatch.
I attached the insert to the OEM Grille with lots of epoxy and a little superglue.

sounds like the same process I did with my honeycomb grille. I dont particularly care how it turned out. I think I could have done better but I was trying to rush through it unfortunately

Just pulled the trigger on this one. SWB is a Hard Color to match, so I was looking for one that the grill insert is removable. Saw the retailer had no reviews, we’ll see how it goes!

Yes, what I have been looking for. Can this center be attached to the chrome TRD OR stock grill for an '06? Most all I see are to a painted grill/after market grill. Just starting to look into this and not understanding the weather strip issue.

Just got my new grille, and plan on replacing the center of my OEM grille with the Pro Style center. How did you do the swap? What did you use to hold the new grille center piece into the OEM grille surround?

I did all the cutting myself to make the center piece fit, but the man at the body shop attached it. I'm not sure how, but once I get the truck back I'll take it off and post some photos.

Does anyone that’s done this swap have any pics of the back side? I’m having a hard time picturing how both can fit together. Is some massaging/trimming needed on the surround part or the aftermarket insert part? I know Toyota sells the surround and grill separately. Also, I keep reading about the weatherstripping. What’s the deal with that?

I was going to pull the trigger on the honeycomb grill but I like this better. It gives the truck a more updated look.

If anyone has pics of the process that’ll be helpful. I’m tired of the chrome surround on my truck.

I just received this one in the mail. Might tackle it this weekend. Just doing the whole swap because my surround is chrome and trying to get rid of that. I've seen a couple suggestions for different weatherstripping from Amazon. I'll see what I decide when I get to that part and post what I used.

I also got these amber lights for the grill:

Where do you guys get the "TOYOTA" letters for these grills? I've contacted the seller of a grill I am interested purchasing if they come with the grill and he said no and I am having a hard time finding the letters. Would like to purchase everything at once. Thanks.

Mine came with the letters, but I sprayed them white.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to keep looking for a seller that offers the letters with the grill or find a site that sells the letters.

This grill is just plug and play right? It looks like the oem and the aftermarket inserts are held with screws and come aparts, right?

The VIPIH one came with the letters. I also sprayed mine white. I heard something about some of them not advertising them with the letters to avoid issues with Toyota but they actually come with the letters. Not sure how you determine that though.

I customized my OEM grill to fit the aftermarket insert.
