Keep cool, don’t make threats. The dealer and/or others customers, and the trucking company want this load moving just as much as you do (if not more). It’ll be up in running in a matter of hours, you’ll have the truck in a few days. And, more than likely it’ll shown up unscathed, and you’ll be tootling around town in your shiny new truck soon enough.

@crazysccrmd yes forsure. It was suppose to be my first new vehicle, all my other vehicles I’ve literally bought from ads in the local paper. I stupidly assumed that a new TRD Pro would not need to be test driven. I had no advice from anyone around me, so I just signed the papers as the dealer instructed. I gave them my trust and now regret it.

Here is my preFriday guess what really happened:

    1. The dealer traded another dealer and they sent the wrong truck
    2. The dealer gonna say you already took delivery of the truck
    3. There never was a truck
    4. They sold your truck to someone else
    5. During inspection the truck’s engine took a dump and they are waiting for a replacement engine
    6. Dirty mike and the boyz had a good time in it and they are waiting for interior leather replacement

@Chew thanks for the positive response, I’ve been really down today from all this and from a lot of people on here telling me I’m just a dumbass, or Karen, and that the truck was prob sold to someone else or is totaled and the dealer is hiding it from me. I went from being the most stoked I’ve been in a long time to bottom of the barrel. Emptied my savings for this truck. Put a lot of energy and time towards it and I don’t even have it. I hope you are right and that it will be showing up unscathed, if you are right I’m sending you a Venmo for couple beers in celebration

I am the driver of the carrier transport truck. My wife called on the CB to say she was leaving me, and I just couldn’t drive anymore. I pulled over and left the damn thing running. After raising 6 kids from 7 different fathers you’d think she’d be loyal.

I loved her bro. I came to TW for some sympathy, but after reading this thread I went back and spit in every goshdarn gas tank on that trailer.

@asuchemist wow very bleak. What about the truck showing up by Monday because they were able to load it into a new truck carrier?

Have they sent you any pictures of the truck or any pictures of it on said carrier? Call Toyota and ask them to locate your vehicle with the SOS. Download the toyota app, input the vin and see what information you can find.

When dealer delivered my truck, it had same scratches on the side in the clear coat. Either from unloading from shipper or some jack butt at the car wash had jewelry that scratched the truck. But the scratch on each said was at same level and length.

OP purchased truck unseen (my man know what he wanted, can’t blame him)! First new vehicle OP got after saving up his $!

Dealer didn’t have actual truck in stock. As normal TW peep start name calling :boink:and thinking the worse.

typical friday behavior on a Thursday

@asuchemist No pics. Guess it’s worth asking for one. I have the app, the odo hasn’t moved since they loaded it from rail like 2 weeks ago. Doesn’t show anything else. That sucks to hear about those scratches, i hope that is all I have.

Well, my blood pressure just went up a little bit reading some of this. Congrats to OP for starting a viral thread. Worst case scenario, you own a truck that will sit on a car hauler indefinitely. You can visit it every other weekend, pre-arranged holidays and 2 weeks during the summer.

@maxmk8 23TrdPro. Put 1000 down in May. Got call on Sunday that it would be at dealership Monday. Show on Wednesday for apt, after signing papers they said it wasn’t there. Offered to bring it to me today. Called and said they don’t know what’s going on. The truck is real, I think… idfk anymore
