Lou's Custom Exhaust in Concord NH is good to go.

Fully welded 409 for less than OEM, even accounting for the tank of gas back and forth to Northern VT, and it ought to last longer than 3 winters too.

The owner knows his shit for sure. I'll be back for the headers and Y when I get the nickels together.

Especially festive at 2pm on a Saturday and the original one fell apart in your hand.

Much appreciated but we got em, was the wife's Rav4 a few weeks ago. Luckily Sullivan Bros had one set and was still open so I boogied there and grabbed em

The key to inventory management is active replenishment, as materials are used.

.38 Special from a full size revolver is relatively soft shooting, similar to 9mm. Shot from a snub nose revolver it's snappy.

I was running a first timers class some years ago and one of the students, a lady, came in with a pistol her (male) friend had said would be perfect.

It was, of course, a micro Kimber in .45ACP. Not only was it hard for her to keep a grip on it and control with such stout recoil out of such a small gun, it was also extremely hard to manipulate because of the stuff springs and small gripping area (and it was a jam-o-matic, those baby Kimbers frequently are). For the first part of the class she tried to just tough it out but I could see she was struggling. When I finally directly asked her about it she was super distressed and assumed that the problem was all with her, because her friend, who is a "gun person", DEFINITELY knew exactly what he was doing.

I broke the news to her that men make the same dumbass mistake all the time when they pick a gun for their girlfriend/wife/daughter/etc, and not to feel bad. I let her use a .380 that actually fit her hands for the rest of the day and she blew the doors off the class, go figure.

    My daughter's favorite pistol is a full-size, long-slide S&W 9mm. It's a soft shooting, tack-driver. The below target was set at 50’. (It’s a target we shared and it’s my mitt in the photo.)207A01B7-D8ED-46DA-B151-FE1A2262BCEC.jpg F1A679E4-F9A5-457C-8F49-0027A4A33080.jpg

No wheel guns here. I've been keeping an eye out for a 340PD... but, that is just kind of a want thing... like a Staccto...

She has a Sig P938... but, since our accident, she has a little trouble with it, so, she snags a .380. She steals my Glock when she can... fun watching her drive nails with that...

Yeah, I don't get that... then again, I know plenty of cats that HAVE to carry a .45.
No target or anything, they come out, send some down range at the backers...
    Shoot my stands, etc...

Don't matter how large the round, if it doesn't hit what you're aiming at....

I sold my Model 60 and bought a Model 340 PD with the money. No regrets IMG_1117.jpg

The 340 PD is very light and easy to carry. The felt recoil is tremendous, but my experience shooting snubbies has helped me manage it.IMG_2702.jpg

I have one of those SR-22’s, it’s a great shooter! It was my first pistol and still going strong. I have a 1911 in 45ACP is my favorite pistol to shoot though. It’s big with a heavy slide so the recoil is managed pretty well. My only gripe with it is I can’t manipulate the mag drop and slide release without changing my grip so I can’t claim operator status

If you're a righty, concentrate on keeping your fingers and the web of your thumb anchored, while rotating the rest of the thumb to reach the controls, even if that means hitting the mag release with an odd part of your thumb (I hit it with the crease at the knuckle on a full frame) and the slide release with the inside corner of your thumb.

Keeping the web anchored high in the beavertail and your fingers in place minimizes grip shift and keeps you at 90% correct grip. Get your thumb wrapped back around as you press it back out to fire after doing your manipulation.

I bought an ATV battery. I use it with my garden cart to bring pellets around the house and it was getting so bad that it would start once and not again unless it ran for at least 15 minutes to recharge. So, I saved $8!
