I have rocked my little 2.7 single cab for close to 2 years now, and I would like to share my progress with everyone.
    D07727B7-1632-4684-BA49-DCECCAAE2FE8.jpg

This is how she currently sits (kinda) the only other thing I have done besides what is shown is 1 inch wheel spacers and a C Notch. Now here is my parts list.

    Engine:
    • LCE Header
    • Some cheap CAI (was my very first mod so will probably not remove yet)
    • RIPP Coils
    • Universal Oil Catch Can
    • Removal of catalytic converter
    7E0BC9BB-3446-4579-8471-484C1D7C5D21.jpg
    Suspension:
    • SOS front lowering kit for X-Runner
    • Bilstein Shocks, front and rear
    • DJM 4 inch lowering kit/ with c notch
    • Removed passenger side middle spring
    • X Brace from xrunner
    • Rear swap bar kit
    • Middle transmission crossmembers from xrunner
    19F5CAA1-B912-4DA3-8EDA-19FCDA1E9099.jpg
    Transmission:
    • URD Short Throw Shifter
    • Stage 1 sport clutch
    • Stock brand new flywheel
    53374C78-87D0-471F-B3A6-EA71EB42CDF1.jpg
    Interior:
    • Chinese Special Head unit
    • New tweeters and door speakers
    • Shifter knob
    • Hooked up and wired auto locks (hated reaching over and locking passenger door so went all out with this works super well)
    • Radar detector
    E504FD29-0B07-470F-8F8D-DD541C0DDB4F.jpg
    Exterior:
    • Spec D Headlights
    • LED Tails
    • Honeycomb Grill
    • Hooke Road Roof rack
    • Bed Cover
    • Rep wheels
    • LED 3rd brake light
    • Removed Rear bumper
    • 2014 4Runner Side mirrors
    General Maintenance:
    • Alternator
    • Power Steering
    • Battery
    • Motor Mounts
    • U Joints
    • Trans Fluid
    • Diff Fluid
    • Oil Changes
    • Valve cover
I'm sure I forgot something and will add it on later. There is some things on here that on controversial and most people wouldn't do, such as removing a spring, or doing a CAI, most people on here just use the stock air box.

She has come a long way, she has also robbed me of a ton of my money too! But I enjoy it, and I hope everyone likes her too.

    Future Upgrades:
    • 2014 4Runner Power Seats
    • Turbo
    • Subs
    • New Headunit

Thank you everyone for taking the time to look at my progress!

Nice truck. So you combined the SOS spring perch kit with the DJM 3” arms?

No, but if you wanted to you could. I haven't bought the DJM arms yet but when I do i'll probably take the SOS kit off cause that means it'll be close to 5 inch drop in the front which is too low for my liking

Nope. And I had two inch wheel spacers on as well. If you aren't 4x4, I would suggest a smaller wheel as a bigger wheel killed my gas mileage, also made it feel a bit faster when I put smaller wheels. Anything else you'd like to know man

Nice build dude! I was wondering what roof rack you have up top? I’ve been looking online for a couple months now and can’t seem to find anything for my single cab

It's custom man! I bought a Hooke Road roof rack, cut it in half, drilled holes into my roof, and I used silicone so it didn't leak. It's a really easy simple process if you're good with custom stuff like that, if you're interested in doing it I can walk you through the process I did

Nice, I just found the Hooke road roof rack online. Doesn’t the roof rack mount to the rails? Something like a factory roof rack. Or is drilling holes in the roof mandatory?

For access cabs and double cabs they have the mounting points, single cabs do not which is why you have to drill holes into your roof. 8 holes to be exact. You can always just put rubber stoppers and silicon over the holes if you want to take off the roof rack though but I think it looks really good with it on. It also takes up to like 300 pounds I've stood on top of it before lol

Did you run into any issues with the XR front shocks? I ordered some from ebay but the seller keeps saying it won't fit and that its only for the Xrunner lol and now im second guessing it. I bought the coils to go with it too, so it should be fine right

Yeah lol it should bolt right in. The XRunner and base 5 lugs share the same hub and basically the same front end. The XR front shocks will make your truck slightly lower not super noticeable but there is a drop. About .5 of an inch. Hope this helps!

I have bilstein rear shocks and I really like them. Also, if you're gonna drop your truck in the back pretty low you are gonna want to C Notch it. You obviously don't have to, but it makes the ride quality horrible and you will feel every single bump. You're just going for a 2/3 inch drop or lower?

Sorry for another message lol... but actually I have a pair of rear bilstein shocks if you want them? I will sell them for a great deal they're both brand new. I have no clue why I bought them when i already had a pair on
