This isn’t EV, but renewable energy related and very interesting.

Have solar and/or wind in your backyard generating hydrogen from the air, free local fillips forever. No transportation of the hydrogen needed so those complaining about how ineffective hydrogen is as an alternative fuel because of storage and transportation…

we have a long way to go before the common man can have a hydrogen harvesting operation in his back yard.

one wrong move and bye bye house and neighbors house.

Hydrogen is a red herring to slow the adoption of EV's. First, the laws of thermodynamics apply to everything. Every every transaction results in losses. To run a H2 powered car there are three steps. 1. Create H2. 2. Compress the H2 to high pressure so there is enough range. 3. Burn the H2 in an internal combustion engine where 80% is wasted as heat. And as a bonus H2 burned in an ICE creates NOx, so yay smog.

    vs an EV

where there are 2 steps. 1 Charge battery. 2 Use charged battery to move the car at around 92% efficiency.

I currently have solar and to install my EV charger was around $500 and it's part of my existing house wiring and takes up no space in the garage. To do the same with H2 would mean investments in H2 making equipment, H2 compressors (no way that's quiet when running), and storage tanks. How much is all that going to cost? Oh, and the solar/wind power generation will have to be scaled up because H2 is so inefficient.

Here's some videos. TLDR - H2 is a terrible ideal

I think you’re missing some vital steps before the “charge battery” step for the EV

Most aren’t using clean electricity so at this point in time it’s not really “green” to own a EV

I was replying to another post about using Hydrogen as a fuel in ICE cars. Hydrogen is just a plain stupid car fuel for many reasons, including it is anything but green. That OP was suggesting using renewable energy at home to make your own H2.

It is a myth that the burning of fossil fuel to generate electricity makes EVs as dirty as gas cars. I'm assuming you haven't really looked into this and are trying to learn and not just be a troll. Here's a good video that provides a ballanced report on the subject

Thomas has been leasing the electric car for almost three years, and the only hint something could go wrong with it was a recall on the car's lithium-ion battery.

"But they had no batteries to give us. So, we were waiting," she said.

Thomas said the fire has turned her off wanting another electric vehicle.

I was wonder how well the air conditioning cools the interior of the Rivian Amazon van?

With the recent events at the nation's largest parcel delivery service deciding that all of their future delivery vehicle orders will be equipped with air conditioning. What impact will that have on their electric vehicle orders going forward?

The findings in this vid have been replicated and verified by others in their testing also.
