A little something every chance we get.
    It's back.
If it's still there Monday, I'm pulling what I need to get it done out of Raymond James hands.

Thousands less than what's around in Hemmings and BOT world. And Gateway, and everywhere....
I let this get away once, and another one because of language issues. You only get so many chances.

    Morning all:

Looks like a cool truck Kurt, glad that you got another chance at it.

Made the monthly trip to Wally world this morning, went at 6:30AM and not too much activity there. :)

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! WAS headed down to SA for the Cars and Coffee show, but I did something to my leg last night watering, and it was still bad this morning. Just can't walk reliably on it, and that's no way to get around a show! Man, getting old really stinks sometimes!

Seems like we’ve discussed bum legs and feet more often than we would like. It does suck getting old but there are young ones that have issues also. Take care and let the old body heal.

I'm a bit late to the party on the bum legs and feet. Back in my early 40s I developed plantar fasciitis to such a degree I'd need crutches in the morning just to go pee; it would ease throughout the day and by evening it was like I never had it. I eventually tracked it down to using the old school NordicTrack XC Skiing machine each morning. I solved the issue two ways, I started wearing a night splint while I slept, and that gave me almost instant relief; within a few days the pain in the morning was just mildly annoying, and within a week it was gone entirely. That said, if I'd miss a night wearing that thing, and no, it wasn't pleasant to wear, my pain would circle back to needing crutches in the morning. I ultimately solved the issue by selling the NordicTrack and going out to run on local dirt trails. As for my legs, don't even get me started. :p

:facepalm:Just talked to the buddy to who I give the Tidy Cat plastic litter buckets to, to give to the farmer who butchers and gives me some scrapple in return. :hungry:
Long story short, the farmer is getting a divorce, he found out his wife racked up about 450K in credit card debt from gambling without him knowing about it! Another local oil guy had the same thing happen to him, which ended up in a divorce also, those are just two, I'm sure there are more!
For some reason, justifiable homicide comes to mind! :smack:

That's why all my sh....stufff is in my name! I've been through 2 divorces, walked away with the clothes on my back and my tools. Just too damn old to do that again and start over.

I thought about it, believe me. But then I realized that I would have paid as much as she squandered just to have her around. So far, I think she (and I) learned from it and no indications of further trouble since 2008. It was tough. I have occasionally considered that I would have rather she cheated on me... but it's hard to really say. The cascade effect was worse than the surprise debt. The betrayal involved was the hardest part. I'd like to say I'm over it, but once in a while...

Glad I married above my grade.

Sad to hear stories like that. But, Paul Harvey always told the rest of the story.

Ouch, I can sympathize! Back in 2011 I found out my (now former) business partner of over 30 years ran up debt of over a quarter of a million in my name by starting a new niche business which turned in exactly $0.00 of income over its two years of existence. I took on a second consulting gig to try and feed the credit beast and finally threw in the towel in 2013 and took a regular full time job with a large company, my first "job" in 32 years; 18 months later, after losing my house and (temporarily) my wife, I declared Chapter 13. Sure glad that time of my life is in my rearview mirror.

I think many of us geezers have similar tales of getting screwed over by someone . My first wife who was my high school and college sweetheart totally f..ked me over after 12 years of marriage. It took me years to recover emotionally and financially. It’s been 35+ years and on occasion I still have feelings of both anger and sadness. It’ll haunt me til the end. Thank goodness I’m happily remarried for 30 years to the love of my life.
And as far as getting old and the accompanying aches and pains, there are days when everything hurts especially when I try to do the things I use to do in my 20’s and then remember I’m over 70. I’m still in pretty good health but things just hurt. Pain is part of aging.

The best laugh I ever had was some guy who my wife batted her eyelashes at and loaned her $20K to pay a lawyer to take me back to court. Judge told her she only get one bite out of the apple, dismissed without recourse. She had been fired by her original two attorneys for flat-out lying, the judge was not happy.

Later had called me for help in getting his money back. Never laughed so hard in my life.

Any pics of the "night splint"? Or a good description? I'd like to know about it.

    Hiya Sue!
Spent the day doing as little as possible, used my old cane to start, then for balance, now finishing the day watering in front without it. No COTA show tomorrow. Best to just be barely useless for a day!

Thing is, could you take their winters? Or summer up there and winter in TX?
