    My pup & I rode trails and gravel roads to Greenspring WV today. Nice ride with a couple bridge crossings. 2 CSX employees told me today you can ride the gravel roads up to PA. Trip was goin great until I got a flat on the way back. No big deal I carry spare, a toyota 4runner bottle jack and a foldable 4 way lug wrench. But the damn lug wrench broke on me then my dog got overheated. I ended up driving back to town on a flat. A nice lady let me use her hose to cool my dog down. I borrowed a lug wrench and changed my tire to make the ride home. I'm just glad to have my dog back home in the central air.

    Glad the dog's well! I started reading the post and thought "Hey, a folding 4-way lug wrench sounds great, I should get one!" The rest of the post changed my mind

    Yea it was a great idea considering the limited space on a sxs. I'm gonna make room for a traditional 4way now.

    If you're looking for a compact stowable option, how about something like a 1/2" drive breaker bar with a couple sockets for the sizes you may need?

    Good morning TW. I took mom to some doctors appointments yesterday. Doctors say she is doing well for being almost 86. I’ve been living with her since the end of June. Dementia doesn’t have compassion. My wife and I met for dinner last night at Peerces by Loch Raven. I remember when it was Peerces Plantation. Now it’s a high end Indian restaurant. Pricey and worth every penny. Coming up on 26 years of marriage and we are basically dating at this point. I’m looking forward to spending a night in my own bed at some point. Don’t take your current situation for granted. Things can change in a moment. Hug the ones you love. My truck build/upgrades are on the back burner for now. I love seeing your posts. Sorry I haven’t been interacting with you all. Better days are ahead.

    I feel for you. We just moved her Mom to Florida so she could live with her daughter and have someone there with her. Sometimes she would ask the same question that had just been answered. Really sad to see how fast it can progress.

    I can tell you the dating your wife again is important.

    @Backdoc

    Good morning Mike and good morning MD.

    "You are a good son." This is a phrase my 80 year old mother says to me and definitely applies to you.

    Your wife is a loving/understanding life-partner--what a blessing.

    My wife and I will be visiting my mother in SoCal/Inland Empire next month and she will get a big hug for sure.

    Take time for yourself as needed.

    Finally got around to installing the GTS lenses to match the D-D fogs…

    IMG_4773.jpg

    …the color match is nearly perfect. The fitment was ehh at best. Maybe sitting out in the sun, the plastic will heat up a bit and form up a little better with time. But I’m happy with them so far.

    That's exactly what I did. Snap-On 1/2" drive breaker bar with a short extension and a 19mm/21mm flip lug socket. All fit under the hood with the jack and a block of wood. Luckily I have 4 take off spare tires & wheels so I was back on the trails today.

    Dementia is a bitch. So sorry to hear that. Been through that. It's not fun at all and difficult is an understatement.
