Nice, better than nothing. Even though it is just 3 more races.

You shooting with a media pass or from the fence?

Unadilla is such a cool track. Good racing in both classes finally.

Not a Hunter fan but appreciate the Deegan comment he had for the pre race press.

I shot from the fence. I'd love to get a media pass for a race.

Oh he's not backing down in the slightest. I think he humbled Deegan a bit as well.

I'd assume valves or rod. He had a post race interview where he mentioned he could feel it losing power and trying to let go for a few laps. A few people spectating also mentioned they could hear the bike failing for almost the second half of the moto. Haven't seen anything exact but just thinking like a 4T motor getting the piss wrung out of it by a 17 y/o.

I wonder if they couldn’t get it fixed fully for moto 2. He seemed well off the pace of what he was running in moto 1.

He was buried in the Moto 2 start because of the last gate pick from DNF. If you watch the restart again it looked like he and Dax ran way too high and ended up off the track in the first turn. Was a hard fought 10th after that. I'm sure mentally he was in a bad spot that moto as well.

Also, they do full motor swaps between motos. You can race a different motor if it fails, just not a different bike (i.e. chassis).

I would be curious to know, also. Sometimes the thing that makes Star a cool team, they go to a fault though. They experiment with stuff constantly and are always pushing for the next thing to try. It could've been anything. Maybe even the way they tuned the ecu and pushed too far, w Deegan revving the crap out of it. Even if we hear what gave out, that doesn't really mean why will ever know why or the root cause for the part to fail.

I can't believe they had Coop try that weird steering damper that Yamaha has been messing with for a couple years now. Supposedly he ran it in moto 1 and his results were off. It was gone for moto 2 and he did much better. Perfect example, sometimes they push too much for their own good.

Every time Ricky says Hunter Deegan, take a shot.
