I replaced the door and dash speakers with a set of JL c1-690s. Definitely a noticeable improvement over the stock flimsy speakers, and they weren't too expensive either.

If you're not going to add an amplifier, look for speakers with a higher efficiency (usually labeled as "SPL, 1 Watt, 1 meter )rating.

Oh there will be some mods all right
So, it's not normal for the transfer case to be pressurized right? I changed the fluid today and when I loosened the fill plug it hissed and then a good amount of fluid actually ran out of the fill plug. Perhaps it was already changed once before I purchased the truck and it was overfilled??

That seems weird. I could see some running out if you had pulled it up on ramps due to the angle. But, the hissing seems unusual to me. But, if it was hot, maybe it's not that weird. :notsure:

Hissing tells me that it built pressure most likely through heat. Your breather might also be clogged or crimped, might be worth checking out.

Sheboygan must be an hour to GB, probably half that to Milwaukee.

You may be closer. As I re-think it, Manitowoc is about 45 minutes to GB and Sheboygan is probably a half hour or so to Manitowoc.

Only if you drive like a granny. Google says 1 hour, 3 minutes. And, just under an hour to Milwaukee.

Well, my reference was a bunch of years doing that road with 18 (governed) wheels.

What are they governed at? I swear I have seen some trucks going like 80 on the way down to Florida sometimes. That seems ridiculously fast for an 18 wheeler.

Edit: ordinarily, it seems like they are going around 70, tops.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
I haven't been to a shop since my warranty expired. Just been trying to do my own maintenance. There is a DIY shop that just opened up with tool and lifts, if that's another route you would be interested in?
