The big 3 screwed themselves in 2006 to 2009 quality wise with me. Ford at least didn't take a buyout from The Man . The other 2 did because they couldn't make a decent product .

Obviously that's not the 4Runner, but I think that is a Toyota for the Japanese market!

-- Where did you find that, if you don't mind me asking?

--- GM did knock it outta the park with the Colorado/Canyon twins! Honestly, all the midsizers look good to me. except Ranger, not even in Raptor can I fall in love with it.

Toyota had a rough patch at that time as well. I will always find it funny that Toyota had the gas pedal recall right when the American Auto Industry was on its knees. Cash for clunkers wasn't enough...
I really like GM EVs for some reason, I hope they continue to do better. And I always will have a slight soft spot for Chrysler products.. Don't know If I'll buy one though, like them from afar..

My Grandmother had a 2012 Rav4, great little bugger. Traded it in for a Jeep Compass....... she no longer has the compass.

--- This would a good time for Nissan to come out with a TRD Pro fighter. The market is there. I know the IsoDynamic Seats are kinda stupid....but me likey LOL.

Not sure what you mean but Canada does manufacture vehicles also they make parts for American vehicles. New flash there are also Canadian head offices for North American made vehicles

The stripped down version of the 4 runner is probably going to be the one with a manual in it....rumor has it the manual is going to be available in the 4 runner again.

Highlighted part has not been a thing in a Tacoma for... ever? Burly V6? Not in this timeline. Truck with peak torque @1700 RPM vs. 4000 or 4600 RPM is a no brainer on which one is actually "burly".

I highly doubt there will be a manual 4Runner. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that no soccer moms want a manual.

Never heard of it. Had to just google where it was. Do you refer to it as South Detroit?

Car makers are global. Toyota builds here, Ford builds overseas, etc etc

Canada just signed a huge deal to make electric cars or batteries ....cant remember which it is
I just took that comment as an American thinking they are the center of the universe. Everyone knows that's Toronto though :rofl:

Why would there not be, it is more than likely going to be a tacoma with a shell like the old days, it would be easy to put a manual in it since they are doing it with the tacoma....makes sense if the 4runner is to be positioned more of a Jeep/Bronco competitor since they both have manuals. The soccer mom SUV is the new LC

I was wondering that too, as in a Trim Level that is set to be similar to the Bronco and Wrangler, if so then a MT could make sense.
