It's mine. One of our favorite places to take a walk with the pups. Didn't matter what time of year. It's beautiful if you ever make it up this way!!

The day is actually getting better, if you can believe that for a Monday.

    Someone brought in donuts.
    Free employee appreciation lunch today.
Going through my emails, free lunch on Wednesday from the contractor working on the new building.
And lunch next Wednesday from a furniture dealer.

I could be wrong, so don't take my answer as gospel. But I think the wood tends to be more flexible and and take more abuse. Especially if you put a good rubber overstrike handle protector on it. I bought a 10#sledge similar to your axe. One bad strike and it tore open the handle. I would clean up the axe head and go buy a new wooden handle, they only cost a few bucks before I bought the Fiskars.

Well, the day had kind of a ragged start, woke up and felt like ...

Got moving finally and got to the garage to work on the ZT - the parts arrived.
Turned on the AC first thing.

I got some "mentions" about how loud this thing is from one snooty neighbor so I fitted this custom exhaust quite a while ago.

    KIMG3265.jpg

It did tone it down some - not as much as you might expect for so large of a muffler. Fortunately I built it to be just a slip fit so it came off easy.

Now I can get a better angle on the vocabulary improving  tensioner pulley from last week...
