Rock Auto can ship an f'n A/C compressor from Canada (to California) for $7 LESS THAN Marlin could ship this spring to me from less than 100 miles away, in the same State.

 

Should have bought the spring from RA.

Installed:

• JCL oil catch can in my PCV system
• A switch panel manufactured by Paranoid Fabrications which attaches to the ash tray
• A tiny K&N air filter pod for transmission breathing

I got a cheap craftsman from Lowe’s that fits really well.

 

I’m running a dee zee side box on its back instead. Didn’t want it up on the bed rails because I run a camper shell most of the year.

 

Clever. I was looking for an under-tonneau lockable box before I got the cross-bed and never found one that looked good enough. Do you have a link or part number to the specific box you used?

 

I don’t have the exact part number anymore. I can grab some basic dimensions from it tho

 

Finally got around to installing the TC uniball LBJ. I’m interested to see how long they last. Absolutely love it so far.
Also installed the KP Offroad alignment cams. The bolt end protrudes into the steering rack bellows by a little, but apparently it’s fine like that. We’ll see.

Then I gave the mall crawler a wash.

Yup. Solo stock length LCAs. Puts my caster in the sweet spot.

Did you find the steering to be stiff when you first installed them? heard that feedback from a number of other people that installed them.
There seems to be a break in period for them with that

 

Careful... steering gunna be stiff for a while. I didn't like it... at all... at first. But, it's wearing in and I'm probably getting used to it. But it seems like I have to make corrections on my corrections because it's so tight it wants to keep tracking the direction I correct to. If that makes any sense.

I have 333 Fab alignment tabs. The bolts protruded in to the bellows and eventually tore them. I've been meaning to replace their nylock nuts with shorter stover nuts.

Changed my oil but used the

$55 90915-YZZD3 Oil Filter 1 Case (QTY 10)

90915-YZZD3 filter instead of the YZZD1 and so put in a full 6 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic. Not a picture-worthy post. Happy Tuesday all.
