Niggles that I asked about prompted a cracked and broken paint on the hood louvres, and the fact he MIGHT sell it to some other guy showing up before the "agreed on" Friday with cash.

There are things I can do, and things I can't, and things I know better than convincing myself. For the price, stuff in the latter categories was done on this, and the price was minimum $10K than you can find.
But, I don't deal with a**holes

I'm not a fan of Fords... but the only car I ever took to show car status was a '62 Galaxie 500XL convertible.

There are a lot of cars and trucks I drool over. My fav truck is a '67 Chevy or GMC. I think they are the prettiest of all the GM years, and yet they have never taken off like other years.





Unfinished but close. All it needed was bumpers and the 20 inch rims.

I love the full fendered Pickup look, and Ford did it best in 53-56. That said, a 55 Chevy isn't bad either.....

 

Wow Travlr, gorgeous 62 Galaxie, did you do the work to take it to show car status.
BUT, 20" rims, NO NO NO, although some cars actually do look good with them.

I had the body work, paint, and upholstery done, but I did all the mechanicals myself. I had about 12K in the car, finished.

And it looked GREAT with the twenties on it. I was skeptical too until they went on the car. I'll have to see if I have some pics somewhere. A lot of news photographers liked to take pics of the dashboard. Those years had some pretty wonderful design across all the American brands.
