Ignore within reason report if there is gain being made.

Those of us that have done that shit for our country:

1.We don’t tell stories about it offhandedly
2.We only talk about it within a trusted environment ie other guys that served with us or those of us that have issues that we can’t deal with in therapy.
3.We do answer basic questions about where we’ve been and when we served but that’s about it.
4.We don’t allow nor tolerate those that run their shit spitters for claim, gain, or fame.

If you think it’s stolen valor, which can be just spoken words that get acclaim, products, or recognition there are ways to report it to the DOD or USCG.

Served for 23 years and change and a contractor still for 11.

Most days I just ignore shit talkers, laugh inside and walk away keeping a mental note of said shit stain. Sometimes it’s hard…

Stolen valor needs to be called out because a lot of frauds and shitheads try to abuse well-meaning people and other veterans etc.
That said, if some active or former servicemember is a pathological liar, then that's just regular internet shit and should probably just be ignored.
