Correct. When it comes to navigation, it's generally pretty spot on.

It's pretty much an equal drive to GB or Milwaukee for me. And other then alignment or tire change I've never taken my vehicals to any shops. So not much help.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Up until the last couple of years, company trucks were generally governed to 62, now most are 65. Some of ours are turned up to 70, not many. Independents let 'er eat!

I would love too, first pass the seller will deliver to a shop I simply pay for their inspection then hop on a plane. I wish we had a DIY shop here, the difference a lift (I have most tools) can make!

I haven't been to a shop since owning my Tacoma, but the above shop is where I took my 4th gen 4runner a few times. Pretty happy with them. They gave me updates along with pictures as they were doing the work.

Well thank's to a select few in the group (the guilty know who they are) I now have a set of HardKorr camp lights incoming. Along with a few other items so my order qualified for "free" shipping. :spending:

Good thing I'm not in a rush since the GTF Overland cats are in Australia until the 21st. Lucky B'stards!

I know of a 4Runner that just recently had these exact skids installed. I know where he lives. No money needed.

Maybe, 'cause if these ever come off, pretty sure they won't go back on.

If you’re referring to mine, you might be disappointed lol. When I was installing mine, I noticed they didn’t line up perfectly around the sides on the trans/crossmember skid seam. Probably a manufacturing thing…

In my case, the transmission skid “wing” is slightly lower (deeper) than the transfer case wing. I’m sure mine are that way because I don’t have the 4x innovation sliders pushing those wings out. I could probably shim them to be even. Your wings are “out” a bit because of the your sliders take up under there.

Looks like I rubbed a little at that seam and nothing got torn off. I don’t think it could anyway because all these plates are interlocked like puzzle pieces front to back, along with each plate having frame mount bolts. If one plate gets torn off, they all get torn off…. Along with everything they are attached to lol. It’s more likely they would either self-clearance by metal removal, or the rock itself is made to suffer.

Depending on the gears, I’ll run my road trucks at 70 on the cruise and 75 on the pedal so we aren’t that truck tying up the left lane passing at .25mph quicker. City trucks with short gears are 65 on the cruise and 70 on the pedal.

Damn, those are a lot more significant skids than I have. I run the front skid but not the tcase skid on mine. Didn’t see a ton of need with the majority of the wheeling the second gen does.

…That being said I probably should have put it on as often as I was brute forcing my way through things last weekend :D

They are borderline too significant ;). It’s a lot of weight, but these skids seem to be the best at protecting the LCA mounts. I was myself thinking of running just the front two plates, and leaving the transmission and transfer case skids off…. But I like the exhaust cross-over protection of the transfer case skid.

The transmission skid plate is a little overkill since nothing really gets really that high up in there. Unfortunately, I can either run the front two alone, or all of them. I can’t run it with only the transmission skid removed since the rear transfer case skid depends on it for strength.
