Can someone educate me on connecting a starter switch to the solenoid??? I know one lead goes to the POS. battery terminal, but after watching a video and the guy said " And not to the stud the POS. cable is connected to that goes to the battery" my next thought was, To what then ???? the plugin connector next to it???. Never experienced a solenoid that doesn't have two studs and nuts one marked with a P the other S. '98' Tacoma SR5 4 cylinder 2.7L 3RZfe 4x4

    Welcome to the Forum!!

You must be used to Fords.

Our starter solenoids are mounted to the starter.

It all depends just what your doing and what type of remote switch your using.

Either connect to the positive battery terminal or the stud on the starter solenoid.

the other end goes to the male spade terminal on the starter solenoid .

Then there are a few different options if you need the engine to start and run most remote starters are just used to energize the starter.
