After a little more research it seems like the Aspen Lite doesnt have provisions for load bars. When i was looking at the website i was pretty sure i saw that as an option.

And when i think about it, fitting two adults and a 7 year old comfortably would be a stretch. I think ive all but talked my self out of a wedge, i just dont think its gonna have the room i need. I was really liking that 110lbs tho.

It's 58" wide. Plenty for two people and a child...unless you're fat :rofl:Not sure what you mean by load bars? The mounting bars underneath lined up to my roof rack cross bars with no issues :notsure:

I really like my Roam Vagabond. It's a little heavier than your spec. Maybe a Vagabond Light? Not sure how much bedding you wish to keep in the tent. I can keep sleeping bags in mine, nothing else. I paired mine with Voodoo bed bars.

I was going off of the 52" matress width stated on FreeSpirits website. And no i wouldnt call my self fat. Im about 6'2 230lbs.

In some of the pictures i thought they show load bars for mounting things on the top of the tent but after further reading it says this is not an option for this tent. Maybe i was seeing things. But if thats the case it puts this tent out of the running.

Yea but I see these selling used for 700-800 used and all other vendors that have this tent are much more expensive

please let me know how the shipping/delivery go. I’m really thinking about it but I just feel like for 50% off there is always a catch somewhere lol

I know the search feature exists, but it's hard to parse through 1215 pages about a variety of RTTs....

Does anyone have RTT add on's they love, specifically storage nets that clip to the inside of a classic CVT Shasta series?

I'm not finding many options on the Google machine, which surprises me there aren't more products in the arena. I'd love to be able to clip a storage net to the top or the sides INSIDE the tent.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
Anyone want to take a stab at the value for this tent? Came with the trailer I bought and I plan on getting rid of it. It’s a Maggiolina AirTop. It’s definitely old and been used. Some holes in the roof for solar panels but the interior seems dry.

After a week of hemming and hawing between the Inspired Overland and FSR Aspen Lite, I just placed the order for the latter. Can you buy once cry once on your 3rd RTT?
Been really wanting to switch from my CVT hybrid tent for a wedge, mostly trying to make it easier to load my doggo, have almost hurt both of us schlepping her up and down a ladder. Will be really easy to load her into this new tent from the tailgate.

Got the Aspen Lite mounted up. Seems pretty high quality, way lighter and easier set up than our CVT Rainer hybrid.

@E.J. so how are you liking it? How’s the side to side width? Doesn’t look like a graduation cap. Lol. Does it feel roomy inside? I’m thinking this or the iKamper mini.

If I had a full height bed rack I would have gotten an aspen lite.. or a bdv.. but since I have a mid height rack the ikamper mini was the best fit

Well I haven't slept in it yet. It's full bed sized side to side, good for two adults but probably pushing it if you add a kid in the mix, most of my trips are just me and the dog. It's plenty roomy inside with how high the top is. I'm a little over a month out from a week long Colorado trip, will have better impressions on the tent after that.

Well I did it. buy once cry once…right?!

went with the Ikamper X Cover mini brand new. Arrives tomorrow!

Those of you camping with dogs, what’s your sleeping set up?

My Shepard to too old now to jump into the truck bed and I now have a decked system so it’s really too high now.

Thinking maybe a small ground tent for her? She is too big for me to carry into the tent safely and has recently been spoiled by staying in my parents Sprinter van when we go on family trips.
