They have caused limp mode quite a few times, I'm sure you can find a few threads on here about it. The chances are increased when paired with a tune as well.

This is caused because people try to adjust the settings while on the throttle. Never adjust the sensitivity setting while pressing the throttle and it’s a non issue.

No experience with the Pedal Commander but I installed a Sprint Booster which I am really happy with. It definently increased throttle response. You can set it to your preference.

Banks Pedal Monster avoids the dead pedal issue, Banks went the extra 9 yards and designed it right. Banks is the only one that when you put the vehicle into reverse reverts back to the stock throttle program so you don't end up with to much throttle backing up. Banks also has fail safes built into the Pedal Monster that if it detects a problem it reverts back to the stock program avoiding the dreaded dead pedal situation.

Here is a Banks video on the Pedal Monster, take the information on each and you decide what is best for you.

Feel free to ask those who had the issue.

There are more examples, I'm sure, but I have to go back to work. Seems the last quote is not a result of changing settings "on the fly".

Tune is definitely better but some don’t want to modify the ECU.

FYI, I've had no driveabilty or C.E.L since installing my Sprint Booster. If and when I change the setting, I set the Ignition On, Engine Off. After setting to desired setting I cycle the ignition off, than on and do one complete pedal drepress and release to relearn. I never change it on the fly.

I'm still trying to figure out why you need any of that crap. Theses trucks run perfect already.

I have never had any issue with multiple vehicles. I don’t turn anything off and do a re-learn, this seems unnecessary and I have never seen this recommended. All I have ever done is don’t change the settings while engaging the pedal. Even with vehicle moving just foot off the pedal. Non issue for me and my experience across multiple platforms.

UPDATE ON MY pedal commander: Sent it to Pedal commander, they said it was out of warranty, that they would check it and get back to me, 2 days later they came back and said they found an issue, with it (don't remember what they said), they shipped it back, no charge for the repair, installed it, has been running without any issues for about 3 weeks now.. really happy with it.. I only paid like 5dlls to ship the unit to them..
