SS42 Wired up!

 

Replaced the rigid fogs with some Elite Series fogs. Can’t wait to get night shots! May lamin x these with yellow film in the future.

Couldn’t wait, right? Haha!! I did the same thing! Couldn’t believe how long it took to get dark-ish! Ugh, come on already! Darn sun just wouldn’t go down fast enough!! And then the darn camera makes it look lighter too! Lol!!

 

Finally got all of my @Diode Dynamics lights hooked up to my AUXBEAM switch panel.

No more blinding other drivers when I flick my headbeams…lol!

 

8 gang or 6 gang?

found out the other day on my 8 gang panel if you hold down the switch and the power button together it will first set up a momentary, do it again it turns them to a strobe like feature, i set up a set of rear lights that way. will probally do a set up front that way too. im sure it says that in the paperwork, but I didn't read anything past the install instructions.

I picked up the SS3 Sport Ditch Lights from the Diode Dynamics booth at the Overland EXPO PNW.

I recently started installing the lights, following the instructions exactly.

While installing the pods into their brackets 3 of the 4 screws snapped off while I was tightening them even though very little pressure was used.

The last screw that snapped broke in such a way that the locking nut is now embedded in the pod and I have no way to get it out. See pics.

Really disappointed in the low quality of this hardware.

Anyone else have this happen?

Also, help... any tips would be great.

 

having installed 100+ of these and never had an issue with those screws. Stainless sucks sometimes as if you go to fast you can gall them easy. but for your current issue you are going to need to drill it out and replace. I sometimes use normal m6 screws on ours. what kind of light is it? sport/pro/max? the ones i always say to watch out for is those little torq bolts lol

 

With all of the Diode Dynamics lights I've purchased, I've never had a problem like that. I'd suggest contacting DD Customer Service. I can pretty much guarantee that they'll make you happy.

 

Id drill it out till you can get that nut out.
