Discovered this place a couple weeks back and now decided to stop lurking. I bought this earlier in the year and I want to mod it .

Thanks, Squirt. I want to get a tonneau cover, up the tires a size and go skinnier + new (wheels/rims)?, upgrade the speakers. Weighing how much I like the grille versus the Toyota with color text. Smaller things to look into like debadging the 4x4 and V6 on the tailgate.

Yeah of course! I'd recommend looking at the Bak Revolver X4S. Love mine.

Thx for the link, matey. I am finding myself more into these stats and parameters than ever before. Neat learning experience.

tell me a bit more about the decision behind the Bak if you don’t mind. Did you have your heart set on a roll up cover from the get go? Have you had others?

    Welcome!

I've had a cap on my old truck, vinyl roll up and now the hard roll up on the current truck. I do landscaping so I'm sometimes hauling tall stuff around. I prefer a cap but that wasn't in the budget. The old vinyl cover on my old truck wasn't secure and was easy to get into and was starting to crack. Decided I needed a hard cover.

I wouldn't mind the tri fold but didn't like how when folded up it blocked the rear window. Saw they had a hard roll up that wouldn't block the rear window. I also liked how there's no seams or hinges so it's flush with the bed rails and looks pretty sleek. It's also much easier to roll the cover up than to lift the sections of a tri fold...

This is the answer. Hard roll ups are the best of both worlds. Get a tailgate lock and you're all set! Keep your stuff in and other people out.

Yep! I removed it recently as I needed some Yakima bars for a kayak but it has been awesome!
