Anyone have any experience with installing Old Man Emu +2" springs on factory/stock TRD Pro FOX 2.5's?

Ordered some 'medium' rated coilover springs from ARB/OME, via Extreme Terrain. Automotive mechanics went to do the install and discovered the springs do not fit. It appears that there is a tapered coil at one end that will not slide down the shock body. The spring ID is 3", with the final, end coil being 2&5/8".

My current springs - those sporty red ones - have no taper on either end, nor do any that I have been able to locate on the WWW.

I called ET from the shop and they swear these will fit; put me on hold to allegedly call ARB/OME & everyone on that end swears these springs are the correct fitment. I offered to let them speak with the mechanics & they declined.

They'll give me a refund and a free shipping label, so I'm just trying to see if anyone knows anything about this before I return them. Thanks!

Great question! When I contacted them, that's the springs that I was intent on ordering. (without the rear blocks - just wanted to level the ride) The guy tells me the red springs won't lift the front enough to level it (currently it sits 1" lower than the rear). He swore 2" of lift would be what I need to level it. ( I guess the theory being that the load would reduce some of the extra lift, as would some sag/settling over time.)

Sooo, here I sit. I'll prolly snag the Eibachs when I do the return. Thanks for the response & suggestion.

Well if you're looking for a little more you can pair the Eibach springs with the Westcott spring perch replacement/lift. That's actually what I have on my truck with Deavers in the rear for some lift.

Thanks! Yeah, I had seen the Wescott's concept & liked its simplicity.

What's the hub center to fender distance with that setup? I currently have the collar & deaver stage 2, but thought about doing the same as your setup. Interested in how much total lift you got, since I'm not looking to maximize the height, but just curious.

I honestly don't know man. My truck is pretty heavy and I've had this setup for like 2 years already so I'm sure it's settled a bit. It wasn't ever too much tho - not at least for my taste. Still rides fine on and off road.
