    Hello all,

I recently bought a 96 t100 for a good price locally. I did not realize it has an issue with bogging/ dead pedal until I drove the truck later on, bc I have a broken leg from car accident. (it's a MT)

I have changed the MAF sensor and TPS to see if it'd help and nothing, my onboard obd2 reader can not find any pending or stored faults. P.o did New catalytic converter, o2 sensors, fuel pump, plugs and wires, battery, alternator, all done recently.

I am assuming it's a vacuum leak (fuel trims will go to -19 when the bog/ die out of the truck happens) but cannot do a smoke test on my own from my current injury. The other alternatives would be a fuel pressure regulator or small possibility of Crankshaft position sensor from what I have read.

Is there any recommendation for local peeps/ shops who can help me with this complex issue? ( I don't mind price, just want to enjoy my new truck) I just don't want someone to try and say plugs or wires and boot the truck out. The issues does not get really bad until you drive the truck for 5-10 minutes. Then if the pedal is pushed anymore than lightly, it starts surging and dies on the road for me, terrifying.

Kitchell Fleet Services off the 60 and 40th st. - Aaron is the head guy there. Ive been taking my tacoma there since 2017 and they are super professional, very nice, and do good work. They never "find" stuff to increase my bill, they will always call before doing anything extra. Sometimes they wont even charge me for little stuff they did like doing a few tacwelds to fix a bracket I didnt know was broken.

    Ty all for the recommendations!

The truck had a tank with rust in it, and a plugged fuel pump. P.o must have let it sit at some point. New tank and pump, she's good as new again!
