And yea I've turned all that auto-play crap off but the one item isn't available... the standard garden variety Auto Play.

Just updated to 8.8.62.549

Still don't have this function.

 

OK so I think I got this resolved, thanks to 2 kids one on the East Coast one on the West Coast....

Settings are in Google Maps... seems to work now.!

 

I’m glad your kids were able to help! I was confident they’d have you covered. I almost typed out troubleshooting suggestions a couple times, but I have my own dad that demands free tech support

 

So it was Google's fault?! I knew when they removed the "Don't Be Evil" clause from their code of conduct it was a bad sign of things to come.

 

All this b.s. with integrated app crap. Went to the store found something on sale but ONLY if I downloaded their app.
Tossed the item on the floor at the self-checkout and walked out.
