04 Double Cab

I recently read that the double cab was only made for 4x4s and Prerunners. Any truth to that?

 

Correct.

 

Were you looking for a 5 lug mini double cab?

Also worth noting, double cabs only have the automatic transmission from the factory.

 

Thanks. My other question is this- Are all Prerunners a double cab or did they come in standard or extra cab as well?

 

Prerunners could come in regular cab, extra cab, or double cab configurations.

 

all 1st gen Prerunners only came with auto transmissions too while we're at it, like mentioned above the double cabs in 4wd or Prerunner were auto only. My biggest gripe with the 1st gens

But luckily they offered the 3rd gen 4runners between '96-2000 with manuals and 4wd, so I went and got me one of those
