I got that rail when I first got my truck in 2018 thinking that toyota never should of removed it... 5 years later I have used it like 3 times.

It depends on the trim (so does the wheel style and size). The TRD OR comes with Goodyear Wrangler Territory ATs on 16" wheels.

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
It's been driving me crazy that the rear window button, which gets used every time I enter or exit the vehicle, is in the most inaccessible location behind the shifter, while the BSM & wireless charger button, which will literally never be pressed, are in the most accessible slots.

Today I decided to swap them around.

Took a little longer than expected, since Toyota put grooves in the switch to prevent them from being moved (I don't understand what they have against this), so those had to be shaved off, but it was otherwise pretty straightforward.

I was concerned that it wouldn't work without the little bevel they put into the factory slot, but there's still plenty of room for the button to be depressed.

The wire is a little tighter than I would like, so I'm going to look around for an extension for the wiring harness. I don't really want to splice wires while it's still under warranty.

While I had my hands in there, I also took the opportunity to unplug the light in the wireless charger cubby (aka the really expensive pen & spare change holder), since this cab is way too bright as it is.

I was going to move the USB port over towards the cigarette lighter, but apparently they used a different sized slot for that.

An extension for the window switch? I know of a place for harnesses. I did it with my tundra.

Actually, I really like that. Unfortunately, I don't think there's room down there with the manual transmission. Up top, beside the button for the sunroof would be good, too.

    Here is the harness.

I doubt the connection would be any different from the tundra but not 100%. Could email and ask? link a couple together for a desired location

How do move the switches? Do you have to remove the switch panel to get to the backside? Any pics during the moves?

I didn't take any pics of the process, but the cover for the head unit pops right off. Just give it a tug. From there, it's just 4 bolts to remove the head unit, and you can fit your hand behind the panel to pop out the buttons.

It's tight, but manageable. The release clips for the buttons are on the top and bottom of each button. I found it easier to unplug the switch after you push it through the front.

Otherwise, I think you have take the whole dashboard apart.

Edit: Just undo these 4 bolts, slide it out, and reach in from behind. You can unplug the head unit, or if you're careful, there's enough room to let it dangle.

Which route did you go? Acrylic strips? I'd love to hear how you went about it.

Your glovebox key hole is burning my chrome sensitive eyes! Also the photo is a little washed out from the glare off your headrest posts and the screws holding up your sun visor.
    :boink:
    Just kidding. Looks great!
