Not likely. That wall is 2x2 studs. That won't hold shit!

Just before I cut that sign, I accidently opened Firecontrol with an internet connection which is something most regulars on LS forum warn against. I hope that isn't the root cause. It flashed that I was "up to date", but no further explanation. Same FC revision still showing.

All I did was some straight cuts this evening and had no issues. Hoping it was just the beer sign.

Interesting, I've never heard of that.

My laptop is connected to the internet 24/7 as I use it to stream music to my soundbar setup in the garage. It's never not been connected cause I'd use Fusion on it sometimes as well.

I do hope your issue was a one time thing, but I doubt it was an internet thing!

I didn't mean to mount it on the back wall :smack:, but mounted to the bumper. Using something like 2x2 square tubing. Placed about were I marked it so it would be out of the way of the toolbox lid opening.:boom:

    I see now.

I would rather have the spare in the bed of the truck. Sitting right next to the jack and electric impact gun. I do not want to be fucking around the rear of the RV removing the spare, while others are whizzing by at 80+mph.

Same reason I got rid of my locking lug nuts. I don't need another stressor to deal with while changing a tire along the xway.

As few tools as possible needed is the best way for me.

That works so long as you remember to put the spare in the bed whenever you're hooked up to the camper. That seams like something that could be easily forgotten.

I got a pretty detailed check list. We head south in November, head north in March. The spare tire and accociated tools are at the top

Nothing like trying to finish a floor in a garbage truck laying underneath when the clouds unload.

I swear I had to be in a few inches of water in 5 minutes I only remember a few tingles as I pulled down on the floor to line things up. That was the wettest I ever was when welding back in my very early days.

I had the safety lady once ask me where my ear plugs were while my steel toes were soaking in 3-4 inches of water with live frayed ground wires laying in it…

Looks okay after paint applied. I'm gonna repaint the tapper handle before gluing it together. I was trying to go for a wood grain affect, but failed.

I'm looking for some ideas on using fasteners to attach the DOM to a plate on the lower right side. I was originally going to just weld it all but I like the idea of making it removeable. Drilling holes and trying to get a nut on the backside would work but I'm hoping for a better. Anyone have a good idea they can share? I'm happy to share these CAD files (or DNG) if anyone wants them.

A lot of companies I've seen adding a secondary shock up front don't go as far down as yours shows; less material, lower cost, and just as strong while still keeping it all in line.

Just from what I've seen, no actual experience with it.

Make a bracket for the bottom use weld nuts to secure the bracket .

That is what i would do any issues your shock mount is easy to remove and repair or modify .

I have been using Weld Nuts for years make many projects so much easier.

Your local Industrial supplier should have or be able to get them.

I tend to use McMaster- Carr for that type of hardware.

    Man I hope not

Rust hits hard out there in the East Coast

I'd make so much more extra money living out there if I was patching up rusted ass frames

If my body worked or I could find someone willing to work that wanted to learn I could have all the work I wanted.

I keep offering to have the fair weather people come do some cross training I NEVER GET ANY TAKERS.
