Power went out a few times for a second or two. A few strikes were really, really close. Always a concern as I have a copper wire dipole ham radio wire antenna that’s 120’ long about 50’ in the air running over the house suspended between two trees. It’s grounded but still is a bit of a worry when there are heavy T’storms.

Good morning. Storms rolled through last night, so much so that my little dog had to be taken downstairs and out in a room where she couldn't hear the thunder and rain. I never thought I would be baby sitting a dog, like you do a baby.

I felt the same way when I had my star duster on my chimney. Mine was grounded too but still.

sooo many things to quote that it was more than the multi quote thing could handle.

MTgirl gets a lot of vacations close together! she must be saving them all up & use them in 1 season. (or she has a really good job)

YES storms rolled thru here as well. very quick. then gone. lightning made the power flick here several times. or it could have been trees hitting the lines. this was such a problem in my area that i had to set a delay function on my genny so it wouldnt kick on/off on/off on/off. i set it at a 2 minute delay. now if the power just flashes it doesnt cycle. bad news: this is longer than most of the electric clocks memory's & that makes them all go to 12 & flash. trade off: have the clocks on everything flash or have the genny cycle a zillion times it didnt need too. yeah i let the clocks flash. Genny is important to take care of. clocks/time arent anymore.

pillbox: yup ive got that exact same double rower. same brand & everything. always made fun of people with those..... now i am one.

M-F: yeah same thing knowing the day is pretty difficult most of the time. dont wear a watch & rarely look at my phone.

forecast here today is super nice, 78* high with light breeze, sunny, pleasant....... then the wildfire smoke & heat warnings are back tomorrow!

headed to the excavator to work on my "non pond" a bit. its gonna be a good day!
