So no “truck camping” in Teton Ntl Forrest. Correct. Only in campgrounds?

I just got back from truck camping in Bridger-Teton National Forest. the dispersed sites are all marked, but there were a lot. We had the same site for 3 days. Beautiful view as well.

Teton National Park is reserved sites only. The national forest is first come, first serve. We left our tent and gear at camp (in bear boxes that were at the site) and drove 20-30 min down to Teton NP each day to explore. Couldn’t recommend it enough. This pic is the view from our campsite.

Thanks Weesa...great thread...I’ll be heading over in about 3 weeks (mid nov) for a quick visit and hopefully some early winter photo ops...looking to make the move over after the crazy prices comes back to earth...will be in my fairly stock ‘19 Ltd runner...hoping to be able to see how the recovery is going and how the landscape has changed...other than the north road which I’ve run a few times what other interesting lesser known photo ops will be possible then? Thanks...Ric

All roads/entrances will be closed for winter except for the North road from Gardiner to Cooke City as of 11/1

Thanks...got that and know that will be our only excursion into the park this trip...really just looking for ideas around the park that might be overlooked by normal humans (not photographers ;-)

Landed in Gardiner just now...fun 2 day dash with “interesting” weather that really highlighted the Runner and especially the Michelin defenders...S4 from mid-Idaho all the way through and still managed 19.6...
Going to run to Cooke City tomorrow for a b’day lunch and some winter image creation...any input, suggestions are welcome...wouldn’t mind company if anyone wants to make the run..I’m hoping to hit the road at 8a...
