Toyotas fail safe response for warranty work is “that’s normal”.

If it is only loose and the nut didn’t fall off (or is it a captured nut?) anyways….if the bolt didn’t fall out, means the washer was never there from the factory.

Think no matter the manufacturer, there will always be some sort of warranty battle.

So how long until we get anymore content on the new Tacoma? They revealed it, only showed a few trims and there’s been fuck all for information since. Been like 3 months.

That's what I said , one bolt means they screwed up but they are trying to say I'm on the hook. Also I am definitely not paying for the whole box the be replaced as per the body shops feed back. That is fucking ridiculous and will be thousands of dollars

Why can’t you just take the bolt out, put a big fender washer in there and tighten it back up. Then forget the whole thing even happened?

It is however not in the base trim, yeah?

Tried to build one in the WT trim, won’t let me do it. Before Ram cancelled theirs you could. If you looked hard enough, could find one in the low $30s or below if you were lucky. Now that makes financial sense to me. $30K truck and high 20s low 30s mpgs. Couldn’t bring myself to buy a Ram product though. Price is right, wrong manufacturer.

On the Chevy when I do a build, it is $60K+, that doesn’t make $en$e to me.

Sounds like full production of lower trims starts in December and Hybrid Models in 2024. Pricing still hasn't been released yet, but I would guess that probably won't be till around late October or early November.

Yeah it is, have video of it, but can’t figure how to save it, to upload it here. His son is carrying a 42” saw! The shape you have to be in to do that kind of work. Maybe in my 20s I could have, that stuff would kill me now.

Toyota, king of the blue balls.

Same here in West coast, Canada. That's a pretty sick Arson trick, burn from inside, even the rain can't stop it.

Does GM do the same is what Toyota is planning with cutting the HP on the WT as with the SR AT?

They offer the 2.7T or 5.3L in lower models.

Didn’t even think of arson, was guessing it worked its way through the root system. Though majority of fires are started by arson and/or negligence.

You would think with all the heavy snowpack the west got this year, fire season wouldn’t be too bad.

    The fire map says otherwise.

They do on the Colorado, iirc the WT has different mechanicals so it can’t be tuned. Don’t quote me on that, though do remember reading something somewhere…

Edit: found it, it gets the lighter duty trans, can’t be tuned for high output.

sorry it is TFL, but I was in a hurry.

And you believe that? That doesn’t even make any sense. What’s worn out? It’s a 2” thick piece of plastic bolted to a steel frame.

An EV Tacoma is going to 60k minimum in todays dollars. You’ll be lucky to get a unibody Scout EV (or whatever they end up calling it) for less than 45k.

This gen 4 is the last opportunity to buy a Toyota truck for less than luxury pricing. Or keep your 2G/3G. But this idea that capable EV trucks are going to sell anywhere close to what most consider consumer prices is a pipe dream.
