lovely, glad I caught that this morning. I asked if the boss wanted me to hop in a different truck… he said just wait for the mechanic. I don’t think the mechanic comes in til like 2 hours after we leave the shop. I’m payed by the hour and got my hammock stretched out underneath my trailer but god I want to do something.

Well got my truck back and it seems to be ok.
My truck is the only one in the fleet operational now.
Been long days this week, pretty damn tired.
Gonna be a short 10 hour day today because I have a dentist appointment.
    Have a good one drivers.

Indeed something like You should have known that seal was going to fail before it started leaking.

Well if that pisses you off then think about how an immigrant can come to this country and not speak English and get behind the wheel of a 80,00 lb big rig in 5 weeks without any experience, and most don't speak English. They just point at their phone and say peek up.

Yet the HR will hire them because a clean license and the 6 week background check is clean.

While a speeding ticket 6 years ago disqualifies a few hundred thousand miles all season experience.

I do have to thank the immigrants for keeping the trailer sales market strong!! When they drive under a low bridge not enough left to save but the axles.

Proper Pre trip? No we don’t need to ensure child safety or the safety of the general public.

I need to look into this . It has been so long just what do you need to know about under the hood .

Oblivious air and fluid leaks . No need to know how everything works.

Though I am old school if you can not fix things or be able to tell the clueless mechanics what is wrong you should not be driving.

I never learned to rebuild Automatic Transmissions so I would not allow myself to operate them.

When I got my cdl I was told you don’t need to know the name or what it does just what can “break” on it

The one I don't get is how these lard asses pass medical? Saw one driver the other night, must have weighed 500 lbs. No joke. Ankle bigger than my head and skin all that black/purple color. Dude couldn't even lift his feet, just shuffled across the ground.

mechanics rules are if any of us rip off mudflaps we have to put new ones back on… surprisingly we don’t rip off as many mudflaps now.

Write up offence at previous employer modifying equipment. That's the mechanics job, not qualified to work on vehicles.:rofl::rofl:

Oh he will give us the tools but he won’t put mudflaps on anymore. I’m suprised I didn’t put one on when I blew a tire.

We have a guy who called our maintenance supervisor to complain his radio wasn't working. At 4 am. He was hung up on.
