Sheesh, I bet the oil doesn't even get hot on that commute.

Had that same issue on the Camry mother was driving. Oil smelled like gas every time I changed the oil...

My work commute is 8 miles roundtrip but I have 91k on my '18. I really like country road driving. :anonymous:

    I think @RustyGreen does too.

I WFH now. But my best commute was when I was stationed in WA. For a couple years I had a commute that was just 0.9 mile in my truck or 0.5 mile walking. My worst commute was 60 miles one way. Now I drive about 35 miles a week to go get groceries.

Traveling for work kinda ruined that for me. 3+ years of it burned me out and I don't enjoy driving like I used to :pout:

I'll spare you the boring details on this one, but offer a brief history. :p

I found this sledge hammer in the middle of the road on my way to work over 25 years ago. I never used it much, the head is 14 pounds! I did, however, manage to miss something I was aiming for and crack the handle.

Just linseed oil this time, no stain.

That little 4 cylinder runs alarmingly cool but she does use the autostart because she hates being cold.

I just changed the oil a month or so ago and no abnormal smell.

I drove the wagon 104 miles to get an ice cream yesterday, 51 miles today for no purpose except to watch it turn 56,000 miles -- it's 57 years old.

The highway is my happy place. :)

I'm gonna throw a couple of rod and reels in my truck for after work Sunday; I like to stop and make a few casts in random ditches sometimes...its gonna be too hot to actually attempt to fish but 90% of the enjoyment of it is the country driving.

Me and my history buddy Mike like to hit ice cream shops while out on our adventures but we haven’t just gone for a ride to get some. I think we might change that

    Highly recommended.

I just drive to drive, I don't need a reason or destination. Rolling down a road is the only place I truly feel relaxed.

    ??

Pilot test drive completed, paperwork is being worked on but Montana has weird requirements that the bill of sale needs to be notarized. Sounds like we have to notarize online now because our bank, the library and the UPS store were all no-goes on a Saturday.

In ND, you just sign over the title and the bill of sale and you're done.
