Well, add me to the list of failed head gaskets on the early 2nd gens. I thought I was safe with an 2006, but I pulled the vin and manufacturing date was deep in 05.
Anyone know of a good repair shop in the Tri-Valley area (San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore) that you would trust doing a job this big?

I went to Kurt at Main Machine in Concord when my engine let go last year. We ended up doing a complete rebuild, but he does awesome work! Definitely would recommend him.

Had the local dealer do mine, big bucks but turned out great no leaks valves adjusted and put 20k on it so far with no problems.

 

GF has a short bird now. A dog bit the end off. Trying to locate a hand surgeon to reattach it.
