I put 10 ply’s on my truck the second week I had it after putting a rock from a freshly graded fsr through the stock tires. We drive a ton of gravel where I live so I’m ok with the bit firmer ride for peace of mind. Haven’t had a flat since - has been almost 2 years. I went with the Cooper at3 from CT as I had a bunch of CT money in a 265/75/16.

Wife and I both drive over shot rock (the rocks that are created by blasting) forest roads in the BC backcountry and swear by 10-plies. Never fun to change a flat when you have a grizzly audience.

This is a $300 upgrade on the 4K upgrade. Eek. What is the ride quality difference on the pavement though? It’s 85% of my driving.

I run E rated tires because I work in the bush, if I did your driving I'd have Michelins

I feel like that is … shots fired? The issue is the mud; sand… the Wildpeaks are nice
To drive and very good in the Mud/sand.

No shots at all. Michelins are very capable off road and horribly underrated because they don't look aggressive. They'd also be the best for most of your driving.

I think I am going to go Wildpeak AT3’s or the Toyo AT’s.

Anyone on the left coast running the Toyo’s?

I have the AT3's. They are nice tires. They are running well. They run really nice with great traction in the rain. I have had them for 2 years. I have dedicated snows so I haven't had them in in heavy snow. In light snow they were uneventful. They are also wearing well. These will be my top choice when it's time to purchase again. I am happy with them.

Haven’t had a vehicle with P tires since we got a flat in the backwoods the first month we had our 2007 FJ, so hard to compare. Mind you, those were the old Dunlop AT/20 tires, and we had no business taking them off pavement.

We also have snow on the highways 6-8 months a year, so ride quality is down the list of priorities.

I ran a set of the Toyo’s on my Grand Cherokee - was really happy with them - decent ride and decent off road for an AT. Balanced up good and wore evenly on the Jeep.

Stay safe my interior BC comrades.

Sounds like my brother in-law lost his place today, several friends on either evacuation order or alert. Some folks aren't having any fun.

It’s straight up unreal. I know that only so much can be done. But sure sucks to watch and gofund and not be able to do much more.

then we have the fire eating up the boreal Forrest in the Yukon.

Sad new about your brother-in-law's loss. Hope we get some decent rain soon to help cool these fires and give the brave men and women fighting them some much needed relief.

Watched the news last night for the first time in weeks - was floored by what is happening in Kelowna and the rest of the province. Did anyone see the video of the fire at the Nahatlatch lookout? Scary how fast it moves - stay safe out there everyone!
