Now now, you will make these electric vehicle owners feel bad, they also never want to talk about the buy in price of their electric vehicles as the cost of them are higher than ICE vehicles and they never want to talk about how much it cost them to have the electric vehicle charger installed in their home as many will have to upgrade their service panel if they are not already on a 200 amp panel.

Where have you been, the electric vehicle has been here since the beginning of the automobile, in fact at one point they were the dominant vehicle but ICE quickly overtook electric because electric just could not match ICE just like today electric just can't match ICE.

Why do all you electric vehicle owners only want to compare being close to home. Face it electric vehicles have been around since the beginning of the automobile and they still have all the same problems today they had back then.

I just looked up the mileage between the two cities you traveled to and from and the quickest route is 355 miles at 22 MPG for the Tacoma on the road it would cost you a grand total of $61.49 at $3.79 a gallon for gas. You only saved $23.40, drive a vehicle that gets better fuel economy and the difference is wiped out and you did not have to sit for an hour waiting for your battery to recharge. Time is money.

Teslas and other electric vehicles did not far to well after the flooding from Hurricane Ian.

Looks like someone had to watch an EV run over their dog or something.

Yet you just ignored that electric cars the day you bought it has already created as much pollution that it will take a decade for an ICE car to make. You also turn a blind eye to the strip mining of the earth which creates more pollution to make your electric cars battery. They strip mine unto 500 tons of earth to get enough metals needed to make one electric vehicle battery. Until electric vehicle backers start being honest about how much pollution their electric vehicle really makes you just come off hollow.

Once enough EV's are on the road the government will quickly raise the cost of operating them because government will get their share, then you will hear all these EV backers screaming because right now none of them are paying their fair share and are getting pretty much a free ride.

You should really try harder to find out facts before posting. Many states now have added fees for EV registration in order to offset the loss of gas taxes. Amounts vary by state but in some, like Oklahoma, the fee is $400 or equivalent to the gas taxes collected for 769 gallons purchased or ~40k miles in a Tacoma. Sounds like that EV driver is paying more than their fair share.

Here is another thing EV backers turn a blind eye to, the slave labor being used to mine the metals needed for their EV batteries and child labor being used.

To be fair: I'll add more time onto my commute just to save even less by avoiding a toll road. $23 is nothing to sneeze at. That's an entire day of commuting for me in a gas vehicle. I could even charge said EV while at work or at home.

An hour to charge is somewhat of a false statement as well. Many EVs today can charge up to ample charge (you don't need 100% every time you charge) in 20 minutes. I spent more time than that stretching my legs at each gas station during my 19 hour drive to Colorado. Based on your example of saving $23 in 355 miles, I would have saved around $115 on that same trip.

States are implementing fees in some states for EV drivers to pay a fee at registration renewal to make up for the lost revenue of state road taxes. Do you even research when you post or just like making stuff up?

They mine those same metals for your tires, phones, roasters etc. How come you weren't complaining then? Hmmmmm
