I'd like to see the pics of this. your 99 is the same size as my general lee. I thought about going that route. I'd like to find a way to put it above the rear view mirror.

Helps a shit load when driving, especially in reverse.

    I have no disability.

Hit the nail on the head.

It's hot up here too. I never had an issue with my cb there. I don't have any pictures right now since my truck is 9 hours away, sorry.

Also, the knob is unbelievably helpful.

Buy it, take it, what every you want to do with it. some people with disabilatys have to have them to help them drive. its just like Hand controls for the gas and break on a car doesnt look safe but if you use your head a little they are as safe as any thing

I went for someplace a little different:
    DSC02104_5d25d8c2399a34b615b8216e86f5c0e92bdf6e19.jpgDSC02106_8d9c5e02e0b45151c4f5d666188b94a1a7d9d79b.jpg

I made the mount out of a sheet of 1/16th sheet metal and bent/bedlined it. Then mounted the radio in it and used self-tapping screws to drill it directly into the side of the passenger footwell.
