Let me start off by saying, “”I know you are but what am I”

kidding, but I know people get so fired up about this. I’m running supreme suspension “three inch” spacer up front, and old man emu HD in the rears. Stock sport blues. Honestly it’s not terrible, but it’s exactly what it is, a spacer lift.

I’m not doing aggressive rock crawling or 70mph through trails, I know my limits. I don’t know how long these shocks will hold up or if they’re still working haha, but I get a good ride out of it.

my main reason for choosing this set up was because at the time I was going to purchase a reputable set of shocks, most companies were on a crazy back order because of Covid. I was able to get my hands on a set of wheels and tires new, for very cheap and the only way I knew I could fit them was to start cutting and lift. So that’s what i did and DSC_0369.jpg IMG_3019.jpg DSC_0805.jpg here I am.

    Current set up.
    Shocks: stock sport
    FR lift: supreme suspension 3”
    RR lift: OME heavy duty
    Upper control arms: Camburg
Fab/trimming: viper cut, DRT CMR, C4 high clearance fender liners

I would at least go with bilstein 6112/5160s over a spacer lift. Spacers are horrible for the suspension geometry.

Check to see if the bump stop makes contact at full compression. You might need a spacer on it so you don't blow out the shock when it bottoms out internally on a spirited run.

I know what to go with, I’m not doing anything until I catch a great deal on something better.

I’m thinking icon or kings for sure. I get really great deals on both, I just picked up front and rear air lockers and 5.29’s. So after they get installed I’ll look at some suspension again.

I mean I’ve taken it off road and have hit the bumps, but like I said, I know my limits

I ran a 2” spacer lift for a while until I could save up for bilsteins. They worked fine, I’m like you I don’t do any crazy stuff. I replaced them with Bilsteins before a cross country trip that involved a lot of trail riding. I never had any issues while I was running them but like you said, people love to hate them.

 unless you have extreme paint failure, like mine. 2017 super white. Paint around the windows and under the hood, both passenger and driver side fenders. ;)
